these nights and conversations sustain me when you're gone.
when loneliness or doubt creep in, i just have to recall the coolness of the night air, your cologne and a fire, your fingertips tracing my ankle and the soles of my feet. The way your eyebrow raises when I tiptoe over the line and the crinkles around your eyes when you smile at my pseudo bravery and knowing that you know how brave i try to be.
I recall the press of your lips on my wrist, a gentle pulse check that reminds me I'm to be treasured and adored. That gentleness and worship will be my normal, not something I have to earn, rather something you innately give.
i've given you my trust, my submission, my body and my heart. take care of this precious cargo.
