My great great grandfather J.I. Vaughn with his rather young wife. Born into a family of cotton growers and soon to be railroaders around 1845. I know he was a 16 year old C.S.A. private at some piont during the Civil War. His missing arm, if you didn't notice, wasn't due to the war, but a cotton mill mishap later in life. He's from Water Valley, Mississippi were cotton, water melon and later; railroad runs the economy.
