Pip Burrows

Pip and I (I know the job is only for one, but hear me out...), have been in a relationship for over 6 years, mostly long distance, right from the beginning our relationship has been created by adventures. The first time I realised we had a “thing” was when he shared his coat with me during a snowy photographical studies trip in New York, (I don’t know why I didn’t have a coat, it was minus ten!) Anyway, that pretty much set the tone for our relationship. He was arty and exciting and brought out in me a lust for adventure and an eagerness to explore that I never knew I had. We have cuddled in the La Sagrada Familia, argued in front of the acropolis and spotted an imminent Subway sandwich lunch from the leaning tower of Piza.

Over the past 6 years, we have been through so many changes, but one thing that has never changed is our ability to live and breathe good times and go for every experience we can. Travelling around the world from Germany to Japan, and from Dubai to Monaco we have learnt so much, about ourselves, about the world, and about fun! Nothing makes us happier than trying something new. In our time together we have attended and volunteered at 6 festivals, big and small, enduring more than our fair share of mud, sunburn and lack of toilet paper, but it is always worth it. Festivals are so much more than just a music concert, they are a hub of human beauty and creativity, they are exciting to every sense. (And the bands are pretty rad too, who am I kidding?!).

Enough bragging, here’s some stuff about us. He is a Graphic Design student and a freelance designer, and I am a History student and future teacher. Perhaps our interests couldn’t seem less in sync, but we actually believe that we complement each other perfectly, making two halves of a pretty decent team (see told you I had a point). Pip is a gifted Graphic Designer, but his passion is Photography. He’s always trying to get the perfect shot, (getting around anywhere takes forever), he just can't help himself. He seems to just know what looks good. Capturing the feel, the essence. My bag is writing, I wrote a novel when I was 14, you won’t have heard of it.. I actually enjoy university essays and proof read even Pip’s emails. It is how I express my thoughts and feelings. Pip is sound and vision, and I am snazzy lexical choices. Which coupled with my nitpicky “perfectism” and his laid back style makes for a team that we feel can tackle any challenge! Well definitely most..

I don’t know about him, but I wouldn’t change one minute of our years together which have been full of curious discoveries and breathtaking views, (excepted for deep sea driving… that was just scary!) I feel lucky to have the rest of our lives to fill with more wonder-ment-ness…
