We really have to bring back the term “NOTP” in fandoms nowadays.

“NOTP” implies that it’s something you, personally, despise. But it doesn’t imply there’s something inherently problematic or bad with the ship. You just don’t like it, maybe even hate it, but that’s it, and calling it that way says just that.

We need to bring back the fact that you can just dislike something without having to justify your disliking, without having to find something wrong with the thing to justify yourself.

You are allowed to dislike things and that’s ok, just like people are allowed to like the things you don’t.

That’s ok.

I dislike a lot of characters, ships, or even just things in the real word and for a lot of them there’s no other explanations than “I just don’t like it/it just doesn’t appeal to me”
