This reminds me of when people ask if my snakes bite. Sure they do. So does my cat. So did my guinea pigs. So has every animal I’ve owned on the occasion it was upset enough. Hell, even people bite.

Chances are if it’s alive and has a mouth it’s gonna use it when the need arises.

Deep Eddy - George line Jungle (boa constrictor imperator)

This guy is not an aggressive animal by any means, and he doesn’t hiss often, but he decided he didn’t like me moving around cleaning tubs today (after his was done, of course). He went on for 10-15 minutes as I finished up so I took some video.

These are his ‘go away’ hisses, which are more polite than the GTFO hisses.

I just got back from the vet. I took Monty in today because he wasn't looking too good lately.

And good thing I did go, I caught a respiratory infection in it's earlier stages. So now that he's on the path to recovery (and a few hundred dollars later) I would like to say that....

Those of you who do keep snakes and have not taken them to a vet before, be ready. His treatment was supposed to be $700 but I was lucky for the vet I found. They worked with me on the treatment and price.

But yeah. Even though it's expensive, happy snake happy home.
