hobbies !!! - art, writing, piano, etc,,, writing is mainly a casual thing but ive written some fanfiction. ive been playing piano nearly a year now and ive drawn basically my whole life. im also into manifestation and reality shifting and some other spiritual things, not sure if those qualify as hobbies

this is something i noticed when listening to this song and its suuppeerr interesting to me so i thought id share.

disclaimer: if some of this seems like it just doesnt actually align with the game its probably cause i havent played in months. this is just me yapping so take away from this whatever u want

this is the opening line to the song. i think this pretty clearly represents connor's goals and views in the beginning of the game. he wants to keep staying on the "straight and narrow", doing what he was programmed to do and what amanda tells him to do.

i feel like this could represent how connor views hank. even though hank is a depressed alcoholic, connor still respects him and recognizes that he's an amazing cop. this line is sort of representing the middle of the game imo, where connor is beginning to feel emotion more strongly, and obviously he believes thats "bad news."

honestly this part is veeeryy open to interpretation imo, especially since the state connor is in later in the game depends very heavily on the players choices. so i have two interpretations:

1. this is connor asking hank to "help me see right from wrong." connor is starting to break free, to realize his emotions, and hes relying on hank to help him figure out if what hes doing is right.

2. connor is asking amanda to help him see right from wrong. he knows hes becoming increasingly more emotional/deviant and he views this as bad and wants amandas help.

ONCE AGAIN. this can be interpreted as either connor speaking to amanda or speaking to hank. his views could have changed, he could be telling amanda he hopes she has no more complains, he is going to stay on the "straight and narrow"-- but HIS straight and narrow has changed. he doesnt want to hunt deviants. he wants to help them.

or it could be the other way around. hes speaking to hank. he hopes hank has no more complains, hes going to stay a machine.

i see this as him becoming deviant. before he deviated, he was a machine. he literally says, "you cant kill me, im not alive." but, if the player chooses deviant, connor is "taking his life back."

Being queer in the eighties came with many difficulties: bullies going after anyone who was rumored to be gay, television and other pieces of media portraying LGBTQ+ characters as evil, villains, or jokes, and queer people becoming victims of violence for who they are. Mike and Will are clearly shown throughout the series as having a special bond; they are arguably closer to each other than anyone else in the show. There are numerous facts supporting the claim that Mike and Will are in love with each other and will become a couple or, at the very least, portray a romantic gesture, such as a kiss, in the upcoming season five. The two have both had difficulty in their lives, and with queerness being considered a sinful thing in the time they live in, Mike and Will struggle to come to terms with their identities and fear what they may face if they're outed. Mike Wheeler likely faces internal homophobia, which negatively impacts not only his relationship with Will but also strains his relationship with his girlfriend, El. Furthermore, Will is shown to have low self-esteem. He's unable to even consider the possibility that Mike loves him back, which causes him to encourage Mike to preserve his relationship with El. Many people have questioned why the Duffer Brothers would wait so long to finalize a relationship between Mike and Will, although their romance story can be described as a common trope called slow burn, described by Nikki DeMarco as, "That feeling when you’re reading a book where you want to throw it across the room because these two idiots can’t see how perfect they are for each other and won’t smash their faces together already."
