you     don’t      know     when      this     shift    between     you     and     vance    occurred      &       if     you’re     being       honest,       it’s      kind    of      terrifying.        one      minute     @pinball77       is     the    very     last    person     you     want    to    be     around.       he’s      hotheaded     and    manages    to    set    you     off    right    back     if     only    as     a       defense    mechanism,       and     suddenly       in      the     same     breath,       you      found      yourself     sitting     in      his      hospital     room     after     billy    kicked    the     absolute     shit    out   of    him.        you      wish      you     had     the     answers    as    to     why     you    even    felt     compelled    to    check    on    him     that    day,      but      it’s     chalked    up     to     one     giant    mystery     that     frustrates     you     to     no     end.       you      just     hope     you’re    not     following    in     your     mother’s     footsteps.

your    feet     are     kicked    up    in     his    lap,      your     back     pressed    into     the     arm     of     the     not    so    comfortable    couch     in     hop’s     living     room,     and     you’re     skimming     through    an     issue    of     wonder     woman     when    he     finally    says     it.      bright    eyes   lift      and     you     hate     the    way     you    can     feel     a      heat    trying    to     touch    your     cheeks,       ghost    of    a     smile    across    your    lips.     you     don’t    want    him     to     see    it,     that’s      embarrassing!,     so    the    comic    issue    is   lifted    to    cover    your    face     mostly,      blue    eyes    peeking     from     the      top.         

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄, nothing interesting seemed to be on. Vance was still slightly incapacitated—though his nose was healing fine and so was his shoulder in a way that they didn’t need any sort of bandaging on them anymore, his hand was still casted—and it still would be for a few weeks. It made things like pinball & kicking the asses of annoying little shitheads more difficult, and in turn made Vance more frustrated then he normally was.

His own blue gaze glanced over at her after he spoke, watching as she tried to hide her face behind the Wonder Woman comic book, the corner of his lips twitching upward ever so slightly. The elbow of his good arm rested on the arm of the couch, cheek in his palm before he rolled his eyes and shook his head; his hasted hand resting idly on the legs that were on his lap. Normally they would get on each others nerves—Vance would claim he couldn’t stand her like the rest of her stupid friends; but ever since she came to see him in the hospital, something had changed—and Vance new what it was but chose to ignore it.

“𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.” There was something weirdly lighthearted to his tone, regardless of his crass vocabulary. The way her face changed colour and the expression she was wearing made something feel stuck in his throat. He was still trying to ignore it, but it was hard if she kept looking at him like that. There’s a laugh that leaves the brutish boy, light and soft before he gave off a shrug, turning the television off before shifting himself to face her; that slight smile on his face widening, tone still light.

“𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐬. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫?”

“You’re safe. It’s okay, I promise you, you’re safe. You need to stop fighting them.”

“I’m sorry, I know, I’m trying to help you. I want to help you, you’re hurt, I’m - god, I’m sorry, please go back to sleep.”

[TALK] - for receiver’s muse to be talking in their sleep.

[AWAKE] - for our muses to be lying awake together, neither one of them able to get (back?) to sleep.

[JOLT] -  for receiver’s muse to jolt awake after a nightmare, possibly being held/talked to by sender’s muse.

[HURT] -  for receiver’s muse to be half-conscious after an injury, and not able to keep their nightmares separate from reality.

[SOOTHE] - for sender to comfort receiver’s muse while they’re having a nightmare, trying to keep receiver asleep.

[TUCK] - for sender to find receiver’s muse asleep somewhere and tuck them in with a blanket (or jacket, etc)

[QUESTION] -  for sender’s muse to check whether receiver’s muse is Okay, in the morning after a nightmare, in a wordless way (touching their arm, etc)

Dating Vance is extremely difficult. Though he might be able to emotionally attach himself to someone in his teenage years, there isn’t a huge chance. When he’s older he’s a little more open to the idea, however, he still has his issues.

Vance hates being touched. There are very few people who are allowed to touch him and even then it’s a very platonic thing ( Hopper & Sharona, Gwen & the other boys ). He does not like being grabbed, touched, pulled in any way otherwise ( fighting someone doesn’t count ).

He will not date any of the other boys who were victims of the grabber. He sees them more as brothers—besides, they have too much shared trauma.

Vance’s trauma makes him emotionally stunted. His main emotion that he feels is rage. It’s hard for him to really feel anything else.

It’s more likely that Vance will date when he’s older, however, anything sexual scares him. He takes things extremely—even painfully—slow. He has to trust someone enough to allow them to just touch him—let alone do anything more intimate.

While he’s certain he’s attracted to the same gender ( as well as the opposite ), men terrify Vance. This is the main reason why he is so hostile towards men and will end up in a fist fight with them more often then not. He would date a guy, but the trust had to absolutely be there or he’s just going to kick the guys ass. It’s easier, emotionally, for him to date women. They just haven’t fucked him over as badly as men have.

Hello. Once again I’m getting screwed over and I need to make some money extremely fast in order to pay rent and make sure I have a way to work every morning.

Long story short, I was told by my rental company that I was going to pay out regular rent and such and not the new increase + utilities on Nov 1st. She told me that we were going to pay what we were paying. Okay. Cool.

I find out at 2:30am that isn’t the case and we were charged that. I don’t know if she didn’t know or she lied to me or what. Either way, I’m forced to use my only money I have for my bus tickets to hold them off for now, but it’s still not enough ( since that’s only like…$25 or so. ) so I need about $100 ASAP to cover everything ( the bit of rent that we apparently have to pay now + bus tickets for work ). This wouldn’t be an issue if the way i get paid wasn’t changed at a terrible time ( I’m out $800 this month bc of it. )

I’ve reduced pricing for this by about half for some things. I do have a queue going right now for commissions, but I’m hoping to finish those this weekend, as well as I have a holiday next weekend which means I have an extra day to work on stuff.

                                          THE  FIRST  TIME  SHE  LEARNED  THAT  SHE  WAS  GOING  to  a  public  school  ,  eleven  was  more  than  excited  about  it.  there  wasn’t  much  she  had  learned  in  the  hwakins  lab  ,  just  the  basic  things  ,  because  papa  had  been  more  focused  on  learning  more  about  her  and  the  way  her  powers  worked  instead  of  giving  them  actually  education.  writing  was  something  she  still  struggled  with  to  this  day  ,  but  it  got  much  better.  but  her  excitement  had  been  disappeared  within  the  first  week  of  school.  being  the  new  student  was  awful  and  adding  to  that  she  was  still  struggling  with  having  no  powers  anymore  ,  that  they  just  disappeared  without  seeming  to  return.  she  was  struggling  and  trying  to  make  friends  didn’t  work.  will  had  told  her  over  and  over  again  that  this  was  normal  ,  that  there  was  a  food  chain  in  school  and  if  you  were  at  the  end  of  it  ,  well  it  was  fucked  ,  but  at  least  he  was  there  and  she  was  grateful  for  him  ,  but  it  didn’t  make  anything  easier  for  her.

Vance leaned against the doorframe of his ‘cousin’s room ( cousin? Sister? What was she to him? It was confusing ), mouth pulled into a thin line as the young Hopper boy stood on the silence as the girl hugged her pillow.

“𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐭, 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭?” Moving to California wasn’t ideal; but he was legally under his uncles guardianship, which meant he had lived with Jane for the last two years on top of that. Always violent & always crass, Vance made a name for himself in Hawkins; becoming the king of pinball and one of the most feared boys in that crappy little town. Hoper had done what he could to help Vance—to help him grow and become more then just a product of his trauma, and it was working—until Hopper died and Vance’s world came crashing down all over again. He had no choice but to leave with Joyce & the others, making himself stuck in another new state in only a few years. Regardless, people were afraid of him here, too—and therefore he was left alone unless provoked or annoyed enough.
