Teach me deduction. I've been trying out on my own for the past 4 years but still can't find any sound answers to my observations. I'm confident in my observational abilities but can't really deduce from them. I need to learn that specific step.

Are you happy?
Unimaginably so.
Are you contactsh on twitter?
I don’t have a ‘Twitter’. 140 characters is too little to convey my thoughts if I wish to share them with the rest of the world.
I SAVED A BEE! IT WAS DROWNING IN THE THAMES AND I SCOOPED IT UP AND IT WAS ON MY FINGER FOR LIKE FIVE MINUTES AND THEN IT FLEW AWAY AND IT WAS ADORABLE!!
You have provided a true service to humanity and nature. Well done.Â
Pet Name Experiment Day 1: Sweetie
Results inconclusive. Subject laughed every time I attempted to test the hypothesis. Examples of tests include:
Test 1 Observer: "Good morning sweetie" Subject: "Piss off Sherlock it's four o'clock in the morning"
Test 2 Observer: "Would you like some more toast, sweetie?" Subject: -muffled laughter due to consumption of previous slice of toast-
Test 3 Observer (high volume as the subject was in another room, could affect results): "Sweetie, we have another case!" Subject: "I can't take you seriously if you call me that, Sherlock."
The subject seems unwilling to participate to his full extent. Will initiate a conversation to explain the purpose and desired result (the result being that any names you would call someone in a vulnerable position or your parents would name you are unsuitable for romantic partners such as ourselves).
Test day 2 will feature the name "darling"
What about "mushroom"?
A mushroom? Why on Earth would I name the man I love after a fungus?Â

I know the perfect endearment for you two: husband :3c
One day, maybe. Not yet. We’ve spoken about it but not yet. We’re both new to the whole long term relationship bit so we want to get used to that first.
Not yet, mon cœur, but one day I will call you, ‘mon mari’.
Question: what nicknames do you call your boyfriends/girlfriends/partners? I tend to call Sherlock ‘love’ and he makes the word John sound like a term of endearment. But I called him ‘sweetheart’ today and we both decided it wasn’t right for us, but couldn’t place why. Why is there a line you can cross with pet names?
I propose an experiment. Why don’t we call each other a different term of endearment each day for the coming week and record why we do or do not like them. We can collect our evidence at the end of the week and see if we can understand why some work better than others.
Only you could make something this simple into an experiment. I love you.
I love you too... darling.
