Is interested in figuring out what he likes and wants, as encouraged to do in the earlier chapters

Says he wants to try being a princess (only if Kris is okay with it!) and wears a dress

Gets shoved in a closet

Comes out of the closet

Gets told to hide his pink horns/details under his old outfit

Has Flowery point out he wants the blue and pink drink, gets told to pick what he wants and to not to worry about what Kris thinks (!), then gets called "Princess"

Says to Flowery that darkners have to follow the rules (being that they must serve lightners, and that they must follow the prophecy (that says he's a prince!)) or else everything will fall apart, even though he doesn't want to be "like this". Flowery then asks "what DO you want?"

Not to mention the overarching theme of identity, gender, and change this chapter, with:

Noelle's obsession with change in the weird route (and how "nothing changed" if you abort it)

Kris not wanting to look at themself in the mirror ("you quickly look away. Who is that?"), and refusing to look through the photo album in their house

Susie rejecting Castle Town characters trying to make her more feminine

Susie and Noelle going on a date and signing up to be the festival king and queen, with Susie as the king

Asgore wanting to get his old job back and have everything go back to the way it was

Asgore being gay as fuck with Flowery, a flower he's kept with him since college

Multiple references to chapter 1 at the beginning of the dark world (Ralsei's old sprite, original tree sprites, The Garden of Hopes and Dreams track popping up on screen, team button puzzles), with Ralsei mentioning how similar it is

All the flowers being separate characters trying to figure out their identity (one line that sticks out: "so my name is aqua, and I'm a girl... Seth, are you a girl too? Or a boy?")

The secret boss being a trans woman trying to connect with her own body and ghost, as well as coming to terms with the fact that the dark world is temporary and will be closed soon
