Pierce Legacy

Clare decided to go to lunch alone, something she was never able to do when the girls were always following her. 

Clare sees Bryan and his girlfriend and hopes they don’t see her 

They do 

Mandy: Just ask her 

Bryan: That’s weird 

Mandy: Why is it weird? You’re friends right? Excuse me, Clare? 

Clare turned around slowly 

Mandy: Hi, I’m Mandy, Bryan’s girlfriend. Do you mind if we sit with you? 

Ali: Jenny didn’t want to stay for dinner 

Clare: No mom. We had a fight. 

Ali: That’s too bad. You girls will make up, I’m sure. 

Not this time, Clare thought. 

Jenny: I knew this would happen. I knew you weren’t right for us. 

Clare: I’m so glad you stopped by tonight, there’s something I need to tell you 

Jenny: Here we go 

Clare had noticed that the two haven’t been alone since they were kids - she was thinking about how she never noticed how cute he was until now 

Bryan: Seriously. Would you stop staring? Freak 

Clare: I’m sorry. I just missed you. 

Bryan: I miss you too, but I don’t think we can have many more midnight meetups in the garden. My girlfriend might get jealous 

Bryan: Why are you looking at me like that? 

Clare: Look, I’m sorry for what you think I’ve done but I would never be mean to you 

Bryan: That’s not the point 

Clare: You’re right. I don’t like being mean, it’s not me. 

Bryan: I know. I know you. You’re clever, weird, and pretty cool for a girl 

Clare and Bryan go back and forth arguing 

Bryan: You hang with the worst crew in school. They named you queen bee. You only have yourself to blame 

Clare: I haven’t changed! You are just judging me by my squad. 

Clare: Yes! I’m Sure! I would never do that to you 

Bryan: You wanted to talk? 

Clare: YEAH! How DARE you ignore me at the bar like that! That was so embarrassing! 

Bryan: Would you get over it? Not like J would make you do the same thing 

Clare: Jenny doesn’t MAKE me do anything 

Clare: What a waste of time!
