Some of the coolest things I found at the handmade Edinburgh exhibit.

some of the amazing work I got to see will at dovecot. the detail in the weaving here is amazing!

While I was in Edinburgh I had opportunity to visit Dovecot studios and view the tapestries as well as the current exhibit featuring period clothing. The tapestries I got to see while I was there inspired me to start weaving my own personal project with the same traditional weaving methods that Dovecot uses although a bit stripped down and humble. 

Very early in the morning start to the trip with a red eye from NC to Toronto. Then from Toronto to Edinburgh with lots of delays and a very long flight.
