Forgot I have a tumblr, and I have been enjoying the process of cooking up a rehash of a personal project of mine. 😁

De Tragedie van Thijs Wittekerk. A queer colonial Gothic horror set in 1890s Central Java, Dutch East Indies, involving a closeted gay Javanese-African former Sergeant-Major of the Dutch colonial military who finds himself having to confront horror beyond his comprehension when his lover went missing only to come back as a horrific creature terrifying the small garrison town where he lives.

Contains vampires and depictions of colonialism, racial prejudice, systemic injustice and institutional abuse.
