ᴛᴡᴏ sᴛᴇᴘ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ

There had been no other signature of another presence since having followed the young child there, debating the time to give her presence away and reveal itself to her. There was no doubt that the cat knew who it was, having followed the same reiatsu from that particular day when she was not in a commanders’ position.

It would only be a matter of time until the child would be introduced to the militia, that much was evident. Her moves and stances, were quite remarkable, only being a bit floppy in actually landing a hit. It was to be expected, that would be fixed once she started actual training.

A flicker of her tail lifted a bit of dust in it’s wake, the girl seemed to be looking for something, seemingly not finding anything worth standing up for. Purposely letting out a small influx of reiatsu to leak.

She remained seated for a moment longer, before she came to a conclusion in here head and stood gingerly. Making her way toward the general direction of where she'd felt the momentary pressure. Each step or two being an action of itself. In her mind, thoughts ran one after another. What would she do if she did find an enemy? No real training was given to her, and there was a probability that they knew shunpo.

The racing of her heart made it hard to hear her surroundings. She willed it to quiet as she tried to focus. This would not be acceptable in the militia, and it was in her blood. She would know what to do without needing too much thought.

She parted the bushes she'd come close to but found no sign of life. Without missing a beat she did the same to the neighboring bushes, and her eyes widened to half lit moons at what she was seeing. A black cat was there, relaxed as it watched.

"I’ll be back in a bit then Ma’am."

Akemi bows her head and scurries off, going to make the captain some well deserved and calming tea. And though she burnt her hands twice on the scolding water when making it, she thought it was well worth it if it was able to make the woman relax.

Her hands had found their way to intertwine as they found nothing else to do when their job of sorting was done. It did not take long before the return of the other. Suì-Fēng waited in silence, watching as the hot liquid was poured and them given to her, which she accepted.

"Somebody mentioned that they hadn’t seen you out of your office all day, so I was simply coming to check on you. Is there anything you need? A cup of tea or something to eat perhaps?"

Of course she knew the other didn’t necessarily have to eat, though she didn’t either, she still very much enjoyed indulging in sweets and the like from time to time.

Excuses really, yet if one placed close attention to the underlying message, one could see that it was simply her form of dealing with someone's concern for her.

Although, Suì-Fēng knew she was right. She had not seen the outside ever since she came into her office early. A break would not be at all bad, even a small one she reasoned. She began to place the papers to the side to clear at least the middle section of her desk.
