The Pack
βEvery month the day before the full moon we would all go to this spot in the woods. It was incredible. Food and music and lights. I remember this really old chair that never moved; people usually fought over who got to sit there. Most of us would bring tents and food but some stayed in a pretty large cabin that we stocked every time we were here. I loved swimming in the lake, there were tubes stacked on the shore and a giant rope hung from one of the trees to swing on. At night a couple of bonfires had been started and we planned to shift. Some went into different parts of the woods to be alone and others stayed in their tents. We were all very comfortable with each other but we didnβt have to be naked to change. When you start transforming into a wolf, you donβt remember anything at first, just pain. It gets better as it goes eventually painless. I can still hear all my Pack mates screaming while they turn, not a pleasant sound. Once a wolf itβs the most freeing thing in the world. Running faster than light, side by side with your Pack, the chorus of howls, Not having a care in the world. Beautiful really.β
