calvin-priceâ:
âDonât worry, Iâve never left a comrade on a hunt before. I wonât let your nice ass get in trouble so you can relax.â Calvin winked and he focused his attention on the new maps he laid out. âYouâre ready for this Dora. I like it. Iâve been there before when I bugged the chef to make me desserts.â His innocent face worked at times. âBut that painting, let me try and recall.â He tapped his finger on the wooden table. âThey usually lock that place since thereâs nothing really valuable. But if youâre right about that painting, then that proves to me that guards are terrible. It could be the passage weâre looking for.â
âIf weâre ever caught. We need an act. I can pretend to be a clingy little slave looking for my master and got lost. I can just say I dragged you with me because I needed a friend to comfort me.â He raised a brow. âI can distract them with my tantrum. That will give you enough time to open it, hopefully.â
.
âI should probably ask why and how you came up with that plan so quickly but I have a feeling I donât really want to know.â Plan A would of course be to not get caught but that went without saying. Or maybe he should say so. This slave seemed far to into the idea of that little ruse. The phoenix wasnât sure if it was lucky or unlucky that he had found a bit of a troublemaker.
âThe nameâs Ilias by the way, not Dora. I suppose explorer isnât that far of a stretch for a title though. Iâm one of Krovâs magic consultants and I guess before that you could say I was an archaeologist studying ancient magical civilizations. So yes - explorer. Thatâs a better title than âtomb raiderâ or grave robber.â
