“Moonlanding”©️2022 So, I passed this chimney in Caloziocorte this morning, and it reminded my of an old image I had seen somewhere, of the Hindenburg airship being attached to the Empire State Building. A quick look into Wikipedia gave the answer. When constructing the Empire there were ideas to have a spire used for docking airships/zeppelins…the ticket office was meant to be at the 86th floor and the boarding should be on the 102th. But the practical obstacles halted the grand idea, but the spire is still there and makes a grand final of this architectonal classic.
