A difficult year in Flushing, Queens. The Mets have been struggling of late. They just lost their 17th game of the season and are in last place, if I'm correct.

Regarding Curtis's diehard Mets fan family, it makes him feel that they shouldn't bother rooting for this team. They're so painful to watch. Shiro, in the other hand feels bad for Mets fans. Shiro is lucky that there are only Yankees fans in his family. His late fiancé Adam was a Mets fan.

Mets fans tell Shiro that they don't need his sympathy because of his Yankees fandom. They even told him that Yankees fans are scum of the earth. He was a little taken back by their behavior. Sad to see. I apologize to sound harsh like this but Mets fans (not all) behave like whiny losers.
