I'm an addict for dramatics

“I didn’t leave my apartment.” Ronnie clarified, “My friend was just hangin’ out at my place while I was showering ‘cause we were gonna go out tonight, but then he thought it’d be funny to lock me out of my apartment and take my towel…but not in that order.” He explained again, “Of course I don’t have a problem being naked, but still public nudity is illegal.” He took the towel from the other and wrapped it around his waist. “I’m really sorry for intruding though. Uh, I’m Ronnie, by the way.” He extended his hand that wasn’t holding onto the towel, “Well you see, I do yoga a lot and sometimes I think it’s fun to combine yoga and peeing.”

“So the moral of the story is, you have shitty friends?” Phillip questioned, a smile still on their face. “Can’t say I have a problem with it either, just wasn’t expecting to walk into my bathroom and find someone naked is all.” Phillip reached their hand out and shook Ronnie’s hand. “I know, I’ve seen you around the restaurant. I’ve gotten rather good at memorizing everyone that works there at this point, which is lucky for you because I wouldn’t have been quite as friendly if I’d found a complete stranger in my bathroom. I’m Lip.” Raising their eyebrows at the response, Phillip felt almost lost for words. “Okay, that’s interesting and all but maybe you should save peyoga for your own bathroom.”

“Thank you, Phillip. I’m honestly not even sure. Maybe it’s possible that there are people out in the world that don’t like the savory taste of pizza. I always thought of those people as liars though because, well, pizza is amazing. If you get pizza, then please bring me one. I’ll give you the best damn hug ever if you do.”

“You’re welcome, of course. Those aren’t people, they’re demons. It’s just not possible. I can’t believe.. What kind of a sick world do we live in? People who don’t like pizza. Absurd. I guess I could do that, I haven’t gotten a proper hug from you in a while. But if I’m bringing pizza over, you’re required to watch at least two episodes of a tv show with me. Those are the rules.”

❝ I am, yes, and I wouldn’t want to be anyone else than me. Well, how lovely. A childhood of imagination and outdoors. Guess I just rotted my brain away with computer animated games and the such. Though I suppose it doesn’t make any different for apparently I’ve rotted my brain away anyway. Wow. ❞

“Good. I don’t think I’d like you very much any other way. Computer games? That’s what you’re talking about? Yeah, no. My parents definitely didn’t let me play many of those when I was growing up. I don’t know, Lane. I think your brain is working alright for the most part.”

❝ Tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve, so don’t be shy to confess your undying love for me before the year ends. ❞

“I don’t think you’re going to be quite that lucky this year. Keep dreaming big though.”

“Well uh let me get up first.” He replied before standing up infront of the other, “So I my friend thought it’d be funny to take my towel and lock me out my apartment after I got out the shower, so I kinda just went around to everyone in the buildin’ who I knew worked at the pizza place and well…yours was the only unlocked but then I had to pee. So no, I can’t put any clothes on unless you got some I can borrow.”

Phillip averted their eyes to the ceiling, keeping them lock on the tiles as Ronnie stood up in front of them. “Why exactly did you leave your apartment after showering? That doesn’t even really make sense.” Shaking their head, Phillip couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. “I keep telling them to lock the damn door..” Phillip muttered, reminding himself to leave another note on the fridge about the issue. Walking over to the bathroom cabinet, Phillip pulled out a towel. “I’m not sure if anything I own will fit, but here at least take this.” Phillip offered out the towel, before taking a few steps towards the bathroom door. Turning around, they realized there was still one more question to be asked. “So, I get needing to use the bathroom and all-- but why exactly were you, I don’t know the proper word for this but I guess, laying on my toilet?”

“Well, then I’ll remember that for future references. Some people just never experienced the greatness that is pizza, and they may never will perhaps. I once knew a guy that never had pizza once in his life, and he was thirty years old. Hopefully they come by again sometime soon then, because if they tried one of our pizzas then they definitely are craving for more.”

“Good choice, Joshua. It’s sad.. Mildly depressing. How can you go that long without pizza? I feel like a few days without pizza is too much. But years? I can’t even handle the thought of it. I might need to go get pizza right now to make up for the pain I’m suffering by imagining it.”

❝Stranger than usual? I’m not strange, I’m lovely- thank you very much. Uh wow, where do I start? Everything is wrong with not knowing who Pajama Sam is. Didn’t you have a childhood, Lip? Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Freddie Fish? ❞

“I never said it was a bad thing. You’re your own person, that’s for sure. I had a childhood, of course. It involved a lot of playing outdoors and using my imagination. But Pajama Sam was not anything in my dreams. I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about.”

❝ Excuse me? I’m sorry Phillip, but kindly get out of my face. Wow, I thought you were like, really cool. ❞

“What? You’re being stranger than usual. What’s wrong with me not knowing who Pajama Sam is?”

“Oh…hi, um I can explain.”

“Well.. any time you’d like to start talking then. My first question is, why are you in my apartment? And my second question is.. what exactly is going on? And can you please get some clothes on? I can appreciate the view and all but under these circumstances it’s not exactly ideal.”

❝ Wow, do you know what I just remembered? - Pajama Sam, ha. Remember him? Just a lovely little blue lad who’s hair matched his skin, dressed in cozy little pajamas and a cape? The super hero of all super hero’s, fighting darkness and terribly disgusting vegetables.❞

“Come again? Pajama Sam? Can’t say that’s ringing a bell, honestly.”

“Sorry, sorry. It won’t happen again. They’ve.. never had pizza before? Well, maybe they were part of a family that hates pizza, so they forbade him from ever having any until that person moved out or something —who knows? Did that person at least enjoy the pizza they got when it arrived?”

“Good... because I certainly won’t be as understanding if it happens a second time. Yeah, it was truly bizarre. I was concerned for her well being. I don’t know what kind of a home you grow up in if pizza is completely banned. That’s just.. a mild form of child abuse, at least. I’m not sure. They came towards the end of my shift and I was too busy to check back before I left. I would hope so though.. I mean, eating the pizza here every day can get old, but it is pretty damn good.”
