Here's a song I wrote called "Justice". We were on Vancouver Island and saw these ginormous 800 year old cedar trees and decided to record this there :) Lyrics: Justice. I've been trying to get it. You know I feel justified in getting some justice for myself I wanna make things even - I wanna make things right I want to get whats fair Get things back to the way for which I'd been prepared What could be more justified than justice? I wanna get even and return the favour Of an eye for an eye A little revenge for myself In the form of anger And it's completely justified I'm not the one who caused all this to happen Those weren't my choices And it's not my fault Justice says I get to make you pay I'll take my pound of flesh today But justice ain't no place to spend your life to live Don’t forget that there’s the option to let go, to forgive Staying angry, keeping score, holding grudges, lock the door I cant help but wonder if I let this go If I gain something more Don't get me wrong The answer isn't to be a doormat And let everyone just walk all over you But it's to give up your right to get even And to give up your right to cause pain Cause the pain you cause is the pain you gain Yeah can't send it out unless it's inside you You can't grow leaves of anger unless you are growing a tree of it too So dig up the root, it's time that we plant something new They don't deserve it no, they don't deserve it They don't deserve for me to let them go from this They don't deserve it no, they don't deserve it They don't deserve for me to let them go but It’s no place No place at all It’s no place No place at all It’s no place No place at all To spend your life to live --- Special Thanks to the following peeps for supporting my work/music: Charlie Irvine Michael Snook Chris Anselmo Nate Sumbot Dale Semple George Ablett Coco Sun Ian Gilfillan Harald Hirsch Nicolette Hawco Francois Goudreault Mike Hakesley Jessica Johnston Austenson Rueter Gertjan Kampen Benny Kaay Devon Hughes Stephen Cousino
