If I had to choose one thing about being Persian, the only thing I would pick a thousand times again is Persian literature, especially poetry. As a matter of feelings, it's hard to fully translate poems, and it's also hard to understand how delicate yet deep and divine this love language is… I wish non-Persians understood how much love and purity divine come through these words, but I guess they never know

“Poem 23, Divan”

I am smiling at myself today.

There is no wish left in this heart, or perhaps there is no heart left.

Free from all desires, I sit quietly like Earth.

And then she said the ancient phrase:

“Your perception of me is a reflection of you,

Living in a situation you may die in any minute, it's somehow a blessing itself. It reminds you to cherish life and live in the moment. Wanted to say Hallelujah, but saadi said it better in his poem:

I rejoice in the world, for the world rejoices in him; I am in love with all creation, for all creation comes from him.
