The Pittsburgh Area Nerdfighers- a chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance is back at it! This year the event will be bigger and better than ever. It will feature amazing musical acts and like minded friends as always but this year we're moving to a bigger venue with decorations and planning consultation donated by Flamma Murder Mysteries, providing light refreshments, and a Chinese auction with awesome prizes. I can not thank everyone enough for everything they did at the Yule Ball on Friday. I love each and everyone of you to DEATH. Seriously. Heather, Amanda, Caitlin, Tianna, Caylene, Kaila, Kristen, Megan, Samantha, Alex and Sean, Joe, David, Muggle Snuggle, Beth, Gabi, Kim, Mike, Harrison, Tyeana, Josh, Adorkably Dorky Photography, Roboto volunteers and everyone else who I might have missed (let me know if I missed anyone). Thank you for everything you made, everything you did, and just for being there in body and/or in spirit. If/when we do this again, I hope you will all want to be involved because we could not have done this without each and everyone of you! In the Harry Potter books, the Yule Ball is a formal event that's much dreaded by our titular character. But forget your problems for a real life Yule Ball, because you'll be dancing too much to dread a thing.* Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys, and the Whomping Willows have now hosted 11 of these annual holiday-themed concerts, in lucky cities such as NYC, Boston, DC, and Philadelphia. Well, it's time to bring the magic to the Burgh. Pittsburgh's Bringing Nerdy Back & the Mr. Roboto Project present to you: a WITCH ROCK YULE BALL! Come formal. Come casual. Come magical. Come Muggle. Bring a date, or bring yourself. Anything's cool with us. The ball will include snacks, a costume contest, a raffle prize, and three live bands. *Dancing encouraged, but not required. We're nerds. We understand the struggle.

It’s happening February 25-26, 2017 in Boston, MA at the Hynes Convention Center.
NerdCon: Nerdfighteria is the first ever official Nerdfighter convention, and it will be a giant celebration of all things nerdy, creative, educational, fun, and weird. Join members of the Nerdfighter community for panels, discussions, Q&As, activities, fan-led programming, concerts, live podcasts, fan activism, and all manner of excellent goofiness.

Seems like a fresh & hot time to announce that my band, Tianna and the Cliffhangers, is going on a WIZARD ROCK TOUR this summer with Tonks and the Aurors - and, of course, our merch girl & mega-navigator Monica.
Our tour is called YES ALL WITCHES 2016! We’re doing a fundraiser with Out of Print Clothing which doubles as a book-themed clothing distributor and charity. Use our tour code “WITCHES” and 30% of your sale will fund us getting from City A to City B… to City C, D, E, and so forth. Bringing Nerdy Back! turned 5 today!
ok, I know this is a Sunday and the buses suck on Sundays but I really don't have any other time I can meet. Also I changed the place back to the main library just for this meeting (because I have to be there for a book talk that same afternoon). I hope this may work for a few people. Also, I can't guarantee that we will have a good spot to meet but let's aim for the Teen section but if that doesn't work we can try one of the cubbies outside of the teen section and if all else fails we can try and get a table in the coffee shop area. Sorry this is kinda last min and plans are a bit fuzzy but my schedule is crazy and gas money is tight right now. I will try and get the February meeting scheduled back at SH on a Saturday and out to you guys soon!
