Exciting News: PGADFS acquired by FGI!
As I'm sure you have seen, there has been a tremendous amount of growth in the daily fantasy golf industry over the last few months. Widely considered the second largest sport behind football last season, I've been blessed and fortunate to be along for the ride, helping seasoned veterans and newcomers alike get accustomed to golf and assisting in translating that knowledge to fantasy golf.
Over the last few months, we've seen many additional new podcasts, spreadsheets, cheat sheets and "experts" emerge in response to the growing market. We've always gone out of our way to stay a leader in the space. We launched the first model ranking the entire field for every tournament. We started the first weekly fantasy golf podcast with the premier of “Strokes Gained Podding” last summer. From Day 1, we have continued to add subscriber value in order to stay ahead of competitors and to bring you the best available fantasy golf product.
While I have enjoyed being a part of the growth of this amazing industry, over the last few months, an exciting opportunity arose for me and for the site. I was approached by the owners of Fantasy Golf Insider with the proposition to purchase PGADFS. As I widely consider our two sites to be the top two content and data producing sites in the fantasy golf space, I was excited about the chance to help pass on what I have built here and to turn over the reins to two of the best minds in the industry.
If you are unfamiliar with their work, go check out their site today to get a look at their content and all of the many research tools that they make available to their subscribers every week. On top of that, Jeff Bergerson, the co-founder of the site was recently awarded the Fantasy Sports Writers Association award for golf writer of the year for 2015. Jeff is also an avid fantasy golf player in all of the biggest contests in the industry and placed 6th in the first DraftKings live fantasy golf championship last fall in Boston. Along with fellow co-founder and weekly contributor, Zach Turcotte, these two individuals have the sort of passion for the game that has helped them to create a phenomenal product for their subscribers.
What does that mean for past and current members alike? All current members will continue to receive the PGADFS model each week along with e-mail updates. Although we will be closing the doors to new subscribers beginning immediately, discounts will be offered to all current members to access FGI's great premium content going forward.
