been vomiting ceramics and textiles lately 😱 although both are creative outlets, they use different parts of my brain (I think) — my ceramics sort of sit in a different world than my textiles. My ceramics are three dimensional, and there’s a lot more science to clay than there is to my version of textile design. I have to consider the construction of my ceramics - from scratch, and I have to consider how dry/wet the clay has to be to attach two pieces together, and if the clay will hold its own or if I need to give it some support. I also have to keep an eye on my ceramics as they dry under a plastic bag - are there any cracks? Is it time to smooth it over? My ceramic creative practice is something I find more soothing, and sometimes more rewarding, as I’m building SOMETHING basically from a bunch of nothing. hey hey! I been pretty busy lately & making things or stressing about things a lot of the time, I have a couple of fun things coming up soooon that I’m busy making things for // my final uni project (omg) which will have some textiles (hopefully some garments too) and some ceramic pieces, two group shows and hopefully some more pieces to sell 😊 so I’m like low key stressed a lot of the time especially when it comes to university work ~~ but the times that I am able to sit down and work on a couple of ceramic pieces and so so lovely. I love constructing little friends and big friends with my little hands - it really makes me so happy and I have so much fun making them. I can’t wait to show you some of the new things I’ve been cooking up ~ and hopefully in 2019 they’ll be things you can buy and I’ll be at markets again so we can say hello and you can say hello to all of the new ceramic fwens that will hopefully be with meeee. 👶🏻 YES this is much better!!! 🐥 I’m really struggling with developing a fashion collection - I keep dumbing myself down for fashion - losing my zest - but my zest is what makes me special - so I tried to add the zest back in instead of censoring my special zest. This reminds me of South Park and Butters cream goo episode , I watched it the other day and it was gross. Zest means special coolness 😎😎😎

exploring some different themes this semester — feeling a bit uncomfortable — but doing some more reading & trying to figure out exactly what it is that makes me want to do what I do, I mean, I already sort of know - but I need some theory behind me to hold up the values & ideas that I have .

first week back at uni - finishing my last semester off & soon enough I’ll have my degree done and dusted!! 👶🏻 currently dreaming up some ideas ~~~ hoping to do some fashion stuff and also continue exploring my ceramics 😊 still can’t believe I’ll graduate in December!! It’s been a really long journey - getting chronic illness in the middle of my degree has absolutely changed my life & has forced me to slow down 😴 but hey, I’m nearly at the finish line!! ❤️

wip for last project for uni!! I still can’t BlOoDy believe it! Also ~ since this dumb skin flare up started I’ve totes been imagining next year NOT doing Honours anymore and it seems like a fantastic choice, like why tf would I wanna put me & my body thru the stress of a whole extra year of study!!! When I been studying since 2014!!!! Like I could totally make things at my own pace and not have to worry about deadlines!! Well, I guess markets would sort of be deadlines! But not as intense as uni 😱
