I recently finished listening to the audiobook INTERIOR CHINATOWN by Charles Yu and I'm still thinking about it, albeit from the perspective of a Jewish rather than an Asian person. We're often reduced to stereotypes and stock characters by society and even by ourselves as a means to fit in, be accepted, or define ourselves as both part of and separate from the group -- the group being white Christians. I have no solutions for prejudice, antisemitism, and bigotry. I'm only looking at these chicken eggs, realizing that no matter how different they are in shape color size, they're all good eggs. Hmm. I think I might draw better in the dark. Tonight's #hedsketch done in fading light, then by lantern. Today's high winds and driving wind left 88K+ homes in Massachusetts without power. I hope people get their power restored soon. It's already so hard to stock up on groceries, I cant imagine how people will cope if their food spoils. Hospitals appear to be okay for now with their generators.
