I thought, considering this is my most recent and second most subbed fic (the first being the ongoing smut MMIYG, im looking at all yall kinky bastards), i had a thought to post it here in case anyone wants to reblog or something. as of 20/2/2021 its at chapter 7, i have only a few more chapters planned before i end it.

its a semi serious fic, the pairing obviously so rare i’m the only one to have written it lmao, main point was sugar baby sev thats all haha. i’ve had multiple ppl tell me they enjoyed it despite having been surprised at the pairing and usually not liking sev fics lol
In light of this being my most read and commented on fic im gonna pin it, i would like to be known as the first person to ever write fleamont/severus on ao3 bc rarepairs fuel me like nothing else ever will, and im glad that my fic has inspired 7(seven) more fics in that tag as of today, we will work hard to turn this raft into a ship :')

Do you remember that ask about Tobirama having potential body dsymorphia after Konoha's founding? What if that was added to an Izuna lives TobiIzu au? How would Tobirama feel about becoming slower than his partner? Since Tobirama is so much taller than Izuna the Senju had to work harder on his speed compared Izuna who was naturally quicker.
How would Tobirama feel about losing the ability to keep up with Izuna? Like, sure, Tobirama is getting stronger but what does that mean when he can't land a hit? What happens to that yukata that Izuna gifted to him that Tobirama can no longer fit in? Would Tobi feel like he's taking up too much space when walking side by side with Izuna in a narrow corridor? Does he fear that Izuna will not love his changing body? He would probably starve himself to try to get his old body back but it would involve rejecting meals where Izuna cannot see, feeling sick to his stomach because he's so hungry but can't eat or else he'll lose progress. He just wants to be comfortable in his own body again, wants to be able to keep up with Izuna's strikes, wants to be the exact same person who Izuna fell in love with all those years ago.

Yall are too brilliant for your own good, honestly. I like this headcanon quite a bit. Like yes, give me more Tobirama angst and though I honestly never would've really thought about the potential body dysmorphia aspect outside of this headcanon (courtesy of my childhood dissociation problems), I feel like this would definitely be an interesting aspect to explore in a fic.
If any of yall are writing these, be like BTS and girl, let me know~ cause I would love to read these more indepth.

i DO believe that a good writer can make mischaracterization work. oh there's a character who doesn't normally cry? figure it out!! disect the character. make the situation cryable for them. make that character cry ugly tears even if it goes against their very nature. YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK!!!
A great piece of advice I've seen is "Don't fixate about what the character would never do. Think about the circumstances that would drive them to do this, even if they wouldn't normally."

Im back on my bs with another Madatobihashi, soulmate au
Arranged marriage for the sake of peace, the uchiha are against it, they know madara has a soulmate despite not knowing who, but they as a clan honour soulmates and wouldnt make their clan head marry someone who was not his soulmate.
The senju are less strict on this and agree easily, despite tobirama looking like he's swallowed a lemon. The daimyo requested it in order to make their village official and so tobirama would agree to it. He knows of course, who Madara's soulmate is, how can he not when anija had woken him up before the sun even rose to show him the soulmark when they were young. Madara was his brother's soulmate and tobirama would be the one marrying him. Clan heads could hardly marry each other after all.
Tobirama himself doesn't have a soulmark, whether that was because he was born to be a soldier as his father had said, or his soulmate had died young,it mattered not. He had been content to be alone for the rest of his life, would have been happy in fact to just have the love of his family and friends around him. Not that madara would love him, perhaps they could make it to a point where they could be civil, but love was not what he was looking forward to.
On their wedding day Madara is miserable, tobirama can see it plain as day. His brother is just as miserable, and tobirama, stuck in between the both of them, feels like he's the knife that cut the sun into two and killed its spark. It's not his fault of course he knows, but when his brother his crying on his shoulder saying he will miss him, tobirama knows hashirama is crying because he will never get to be together with his soulmate. Madara looks at him and doesn't see him, he has none of the passion that he holds on the battlefield and his eyes are empty, like he's signing his life away to the devil. Tobirama's nickname was the white demon and he has always been proud of it, that he incites such fear in his enemy to be labelled supernatural. But in that moment he's tired. Will this be his entire marriage? Stuck between two yearning souls wanting to reunite, feeling like he's less than a whole person right in between?
Tobirama can do nothing but swallow it down and go through the motions of the wedding, until they stand in their marriage bed and tobirama feels like he can't do it. He can't do this to his brother, to consummate their marriage and sleep with his brother's soulmate. "I know." He says when Madara stands beside him staring at the futon. Madara's head tilted, "know what?"
"Who your soulmate is."
Madara gets angry, "if you're trying to mock me-" "I'm not." Tobirama cuts him off before he can say things that would mar the rest of their marriage.
"We don't have to do this." Tobirama gestures at the futon, "An heir will not come of our union, I can fake it well enough tomorrow for anyone nosy enough to pry."
Madara understands right then, that Tobirama is a friend and not a foe. Tobirama is also a victim in this. The entire time he had spent so much time thinking of his impossible soul bond with hashirama, he never stopped to think how tobirama felt about no longer being able to marry his own soulmate.
Um i lost steam hahah but it was supposed to be they carry on like this, three miserable souls until they build the village, and they move in. Slowly madara spends more time than he should in hashiramas house, sleeping there more than he does at home. People start talking, so ever helpful tobirama goes along to his brother's house, but he stays in a separate room while the soulmates share a bed.
Tobi is supposed to slowly feel like he's missing something when he sees how happy his brother and madara are, but he doesn't have his own soulmate to possibly even share this with. Something something he starts withdrawing or something, and happy couple hashimada sees it, and they will not let tobirama feel bad about this, so they rope him into their relationship. They never let him feel bad for not having a soulmate, there's two soulmates right here pampering him and loving him.

The point is whether or not we know we're affected...which ironically is the exact blind spot that makes people think they're immune.
