Devotional Playlists
Music is a very important part of my daily life and I choose to integrate it into my worship, I have devotional playlists for each of my deities and I wanted to share a few songs from each one!
Lord Ares:
Shepherd of Fire - Avenged Sevenfold
You're Gonna Go Far Kid - The Offspring
I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin
Hymn to Ares - Michael Levy
Queen Persephone:
Paint it Black - Ciara
Sea, Swallow Me - Cocheau Twins
Who is She - I Monster
Hymn to Persephone - Michael Levy
Lady Artemis:
Old Girl, New Ghosts - Rabbitology
The Moon Will Sing - The Crane Wives
The Fawn & The Huntress - Lo & The High Road
Hymn to Artemis - Michael Levy
Lord Thanatos:
Evil Angel - Breaking Benjamin
Lifetime - Three Days Grace
Drag Path - TØP
Thanatos - The Grass Museum
There's four from each playlist, I can drop the links to the playlists if anyone desires but I believe it is more powerful and meaningful to create your own, as your relationship with your gods is incredibly personal. I try to include hymns where I can, I've been unable to find one for Lord Thanatos thus far but I won't stop looking.
To Our Fathers Both Mortal and Divine.
Apologies for the late post but I wanted to come on here and share my appreciation for the fathers amongst the gods as well as the fathers in the mortal world.
Fatherhood in all forms is not confined to one particular shape or story. In myth, we see it expressed through protection and destruction, through wisdom and distance, through sacrifice and creation. Some of our divine fathers are gentle teachers, guiding their children with patience and quiet strength. Others forces of change, uncompromising and sometimes difficult to understand until we look back and see how we were shaped by them.
And as it is in the heavens, it too shall be on earth.
To the fathers who choose to be there, even when it’s hard, your presence matters. To those who are learning as they go, breaking cycles, choosing softness where they were not given any, you are doing sacred work. And to those who carry the weight of fatherhood in ways unseen or unacknowledged, your efforts are not invisible.
There are also those who father in spirit rather than biology, there are mentors, guardians, step-parents, and chosen family who step into that role with care. These are the fathers who remind us that family is not only blood, but also love, responsibility, and choice.
Today, I am holding gratitude for all of these expressions: the gods who embody fatherhood in its many faces, and the humans who walk that same path in their own imperfect yet powerful ways.
My impromptu altar for Lord Thanatos! I've got a long way to go to get it on par with my other altars but I think it's a good start!
A New Deity has Entered The Chat!
After much divination, contemplation and research I have concluded that I'm being reached out to by Lord Thanatos!
This makes a lot of sense to me as I am an apprentice mortician/funeral director and have always felt connected to the concept of death.
The only issue is I have no space for a new altar😭😭😭

On Tuesdays, we wear red.
As a devotee of Ares, I personally elect to wear some shade of red every Tuesday as my way of paying tribute to him on his sacred day of the week.
To me, the color is symbolic of courage, action, assertiveness, war, bloodshed, passion and protection. I find it fitting to honor Lord Ares with those ideals on his sacred day. It is not done in place of a daily offering but instead in addition to other offerings.
Lord Ares' altar! A little messy but it's a work in progress!
Made a scrying mirror from a picture frame and black paint!
Queen Persephone's (mostly) cleaned off altar!
A little altar appreciation for Lady Artemis

Travel/Dorm Altars
As I end the semester I wanted to show off the three altars I've had in my dorm all year!
