The Mammoth Task of Translating Homestuck - Nova

An hour long.
Discussion about the history and importance of the Spanish Homestuck translation (/adaptation). Available to watch on Pesterfest’s Discord.

Classpecting Concerns and Literary Systems - Lexia Velika
3PM (UTC), Sunday the 26th
An hour long.
Discussion about the narrative function of classpects, alternate conceptions of the system under different narrative structures (i.e. in the absence of the Lord English glitch), and how classpecting can be applied to both fanworks and original fiction. Available to watch on Pesterfest’s Discord.
Pesterfest 2026 Project Showcase Live Watch Party - Pesterfest Team and the Project Showcase contributors

An hour long.
A live watch party for the premiere of the Pesterfest 2026 Project Showcase, where a multitude of Homestuck-inspired projects are shown. These may range from fan comics, mods, music, and more. The live watch party is available to join on Pesterfest’s Discord, while the Showcase will premiere on Youtube.
It's official: Pesterfest will take place from July 24th to the 26th!

Shown experience in leadership positions is required. Doesn't need to be in a professional setting as long as you can back yourself up.
Writing & Editing
The Writing & Editing team is in charge of written content for the event, including announcements, e-mails and answers to important questions. As lead, you will be in charge of all decisions made solely within this department, as well as communicating with HR and Operations about the department's progress.
HR
An internal moderation position. You will be expected to handle internal disputes, private reports and the like. As the team lead, you will also be in charge of any emergency decisions, cross-department or otherwise.
Operations
The Lead of Operations is the highest leadership position. In charge of cross-department decisions and general event management. This is a very important position, so we will be accepting a couple potential candidates for the lead and the rest will be bumped down to regular team members.

Pesterfest has a webtile now! Nothing new is actually on it, but hopefully it brings some attention to the site. Say hello to our neighbors as well!
From Kuroka: If you frequent the indie web, Webtiles is a fun way to rep your site, I recommend it. It has support for not only Nekoweb but Neocities sites as well as independent hosting!
You can't talk in it yet, but it's a good place to stay on top of all the latest news regarding the event!
We'll eventually use it to host the convention itself, but that'll come at a later date. Feedback on the server and anything else is appreciated and should be sent to our askbox!

It's December, the formal start of the holiday season! Meanwhile, we're making background preparations for the tail end of the work needed before the project can be formally launched.
Due to the uninteresting nature of this work, we decided to do something different this time: We had a select few team members write about their week, and then compiled that into a post! We hope this is enough new content to satiate your hunger, at the very least.

KUROKA: As usual, this week's post was organized by me. The new format was my idea. Some of us seemed eager to participate, so maybe it's even a good one!
Beyond that, I've also been working on various application forms, all for community-driven aspects of the con, like our Artists Alley and panel programming. These were all planned and worked on from the very beginning, but I couldn't finish most of them until we finished the application guidelines for each of them. NOSEY (link) recently completed them, so I'm finally getting to finish the forms up. Yay!
One of them should've already been released by the time this writeup comes out. I hope we get lots of applicants!

SP: Hey everyone, SP here! I'm part of the art team over at Pesterfest! This week was full of super fun energy from both official duties and my own creative projects. I'm really excited to have the chance to get to know the dedicated crew behind-the-scenes, see the progress leading up to the event, and love toward the community with Pesterfest brings to the fandom!
It was a genuine blast getting to draw the Pesterfest mascots for the moderation post. With every piece that gets finished, it feels like we're another step closer to throwing an awesome fest next year! I can't wait to see everyone there!
Outside of Pesterfest, I made a huge personal achievement and officially released my fan adventure, 240 HOURS! Despite being the end of the year, it's been incredible to finally share this project with the community. A lot of my downtime has been focused on reconnecting with my creative hobbies and just generally enjoying getting back into the fandom.

SB: Hello everybody, Stunner here. I'm a part of the writing team and the one operating the twitter account for Pesterfest. This week was pretty alright, apart from fixing junk cars, I've been chipping in my 2 cents whenever possible in the Pesterfest crew.
It was pretty enjoyable helping out with the structuring Pesterfest with the other members, even if sometimes we took a long time to get stuff done.
Onto something else, I've finally managed to dig my pen and paper out a grave to finally start writing my fan Adventures, nothing is complete yet and not much art has been made, but it's something I don't want to rush. Some stuff I've been writing is Pledged, my most complete adventure yet, even if it does lack any panels. It's got solid writing underway and might actually start doing something about the art when I see it's needed.
