tbh force ghosts are SO compelling if they're not a lost art at all. Like every Jedi knows how to become a force ghost. but during the republic era if a Jedi dies usually there's someone else there, and they are one with the Force so why would they stick around? Sometimes someone would choose to be a force ghost for a little bit, if they needed to relay an urgent message and they died, but generally there's not really a point if they're in the force or in the force you know? Darth Vader's job on top of killing the living jedi is making sure they get rid of their ghosts too, because that's worse for the empire. Ghosts can get So many places and non-sensitives can barley see them!
the reason there are four different force ghosts during the empire is because they were like we can't leave Luke alone he's literally got no one. that kid has NO idea what he's doing we better stick around and help.
Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.

i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.

I used to live 5 min walk from a small neighborhood shopping place that had a supermarket, a 7-Eleven, three clinics, a dentist, a bakery, a stationery shop, an optometrist, a hairdresser/nail tech salon, a barber's (they're next to each other), three food courts/eating houses, a KFC, three ATMs, a pet shop and a childcare centre. (I'm sure I'm missing something but never mind.)
Within a 10-15min walk, I could get to 2 different larger malls that had facilities such as a library and connects directly to the subway station, a light rail station and a bus interchange.
I could literally wake up at 2a.m. and walk to the 7-Eleven to get a slushie and a sandwich if I wanted. That was how convenient it was. I didn't need to spend hours commuting to and from the doctor's if I didn't feel well enough for work.
Grocery shopping is a part of many people's daily routine. We go to the market or supermarket on the same day we plan to cook.
And this is common here. We're a small city state, true, so the closeness of everything is kinda forced on us, but even so, neighborhoods are planned in such a way that everyone can easily access a variety of goods and services without too much hassle. And we do use little carts! They're useful and practical things!
I do want a bit of earth to grow plants in, but I grew up a d live in a city and I love how convenient everything is. Walkable neighborhoods are blessings for everyone.

the grocery store is usually on your same block or just a 1-2 minute walk away.
And grocery stores in cities DELIVER. Even grocery stores that don't normally deliver, like Trader Joe's, will delivery to a certain radius around them. There's grocery delivery services in cities, where you can only order a delivery bc they have no store they just operate as delivery. They are cheap too.
grocery stores in cities also pack all your groceries into two of those big paper bags if you tell them you're using the train. Some places like Trader Joe's just automatically pack everything in two bags bc they assume you are using the train to get home and need to be able to carry it.
the only disadvantage to cities is going to IKEA doesn't work so well there. Costco is a little difficult too. But regular groceries? Yeah we have systems for that.
And you are abusing your kids if you don't let them outside without supervision by the time they are 12 or accompanied by a teen sibling or friend. I am not taking debate on that unless you're arguing it should be younger (I picked 12 bc that was the legal age you could leave a child alone for a little while where I grew up). The world is not unsafe for children. You need to send your kids on little errands or let them play outside together, because children are people and need to be learning independent function without you hovering over them telling them to be afraid of everyone.
Please put on your N95s. The same ones used for covid will filter particulate pollution. I lived in a city with yearly winter pollution levels like this. If you can pay for it, you might as well get an indoor air filter to sleep in.
going through a weird period in your life will have you writing fic that you didnt even know you were capable of making. im writing x reader rape yandere fic. its the easiest thing i have ever written. words flow out of my mind like i was born to do this. i dont even read x reader. i dont even read rape. this fic is my beautiful child that looks nothing like me
So I've only looked into a handful of hero/villain ships, but for the ones I have looked into, I've been surprised at how many of the fics have the hero topping and the villain bottoming. When I didn't have any I was into, I was so sure it would mostly be the other way around!
With protagonist/rival ships, when the rival is more of an anti-hero, I've found that it tends to be closer to a 50-50 split.
I wonder if it's because villains are likelier to be blorbos than heroes, and therefore likelier to bottom in slash fic? I'm not sure.

Yes, it's probably that.
It really comes down to genre. I've been watching a bunch of wuxia and reading webnovels (and fic) of the head of the good guy sect/head of the bad guy sect variety. Generally, if it's a canon m/m ship, the protagonist is both the bottom and the one with way more instant fandomwide blorbo qualities. The love interest is popular too, but they might be a beefcake or less traumatized or whatever. (Typically, if they're just themselves, the villain tops and it's somewhat bodice rippery, both the "Oh no, I'm a victim" beginning and the "Now you're my bitch forever" ending. If it's a transmigration story, who's on top varies, but it's funnier to make someone transmigrate into the villain, so that's usually the protagonist and bottom.)
Western media is still stuck in The Persians Are Effeminate Weirdos mode a lot of the time. Make the villain an androgynous goth waif with an abuse backstory, and they're going to be the blorbo every time. Too much beefcake among the heroes! Not enough poetry or nipple piercings.
You just need to find a villain built like a brick shithouse. A m/m version of Reylo would have the hero on the bottom in most of the fic.
Like... I don't think villains have to be the blorbo, but when "hero" is synonymous with a particular kind of self-righteous, square-jawed, all american asshat, fandom wants to see them brought to their knees emotionally followed by catering to the pillow princess villain forever.
