Who’s afraid of the big, bad wolf?

Natoma smiled at him. “I like it.” She said as she turned around and headed into the kitchen. “Would you like some tea or something?” she asked before she started to fill her little kettle she had received from a friend of hers.

     "Uhm, water is fine," Jacob told her as he walked into the small living room, sitting down on the couch. He really didn't want to accept anything to drink, but he knew he had to be polite. So he would stay and chat with her for a little while, despite what he really wanted to do.

            " What did I tell you               about coming over                unannounced? ”

                 "Sorry. I just missed                  you. I didn't think                  he'd be here though.                  So I took my chances."

         “Mhmm. I'm sure you were."

"Such as? I would love to know. I’ve never met anyone like  you before.” He asked.

     “Well, I can't really get sick. And I heal extremely fast."

"Jake! I’ve missed you so much. My mom has been super strict on me lately."

          She squeezed his hand, lifting it to           give it a quick kiss before racing off           to hide up in a tree.

     “..Four, five, six, seven.."

"Really? How long have you been-?"

"Oh. A few years or so."

         ”Hey, um, Jacob, right? I used to play with you all the time before I moved…”

     “Yeah. You're Isabella. We used to make mud pies together."

"Oh.. Hello." Natoma said stepping away form the door. "Would..you like to come in?" She asked as she gestured for him to come in. "Pleasure to meet you Jacob." Natoma said with a small smile.  Natoma was not really good at meeting new people really.. she was use to being the quite and shy one in the corner. She did like meeting people but her awkwardness usually played in whenever she met a new person.

     Jacob nodded once. "Sure. It's uh, it's a pleasure to meet you too." He walked inside and looked around. It was a smaller house, but he was used to that. He turned to face her and smiled again. He really didn't know what to tell her. Maybe a basic conversation starter would be good. "So, how are you liking La Push? "

          She nodded. Hiding from Jake was hard, but not           harder than finding him. When she was away from           him from a long time, it was a lot easier to smell           that distinct wolfy scent, so she could find him.            She’d wait until he’d started counting to start            hiding.
