Me, when anyone is vaguely nice to me at best:

Your disorder is not your undoing. You can handle it. You have up to this point, and you can keep going.

Your illness/disability does not make you a burden. You are so strong, and you have made it through challenges that many others couldn’t begin to imagine.

Your lack of empathy does not make you a monster. You’re not cold, or unlovable. 

Your hyper-empathy does not make you strange. You just have a lot to express.

Loving yourself is not a crime.

Having trauma that doesn’t fit the common stories does not make your experiences any less traumatic.
