Another student is prevented from sending us money.

These policies discriminate against an entire ethnic group and culture.

There is no reason for the word 'Persian' to be sanctioned or trigger investigations.

This is unacceptable and we should call it what it is: discrimination.

We can no longer rely on these payment processors or social media platforms to treat us fairly.

We are going to create our own website to process payments and our host content.

Payment processors have dropped us because of our ‘Persian’ name and Iranian origin.

@PersianPoetics is a one-person project with no funding, we rely on your donations.

Imagine if a payment provider had asked for, “An explanation of the reference to Spanish” or removed your account because you’re from Japan.

This is unacceptable. It’s discrimination plain and simple.

We need an independent platform safe from discriminatory payment providers.

Our funding was frozen abruptly, we weren’t even given a warning.

Now we’re stuck with no money and an uncertain future.

It’s taken three years to build up our support on these platforms.

Starting from scratch won’t be easy, but we have no choice.
