I want to be a pumpkin for Halloween
Genuine question for my readers and is in no way directed towards anyone,
but why do people think reading fast is like a flex?
Don't you want to take your time, focus on details to make connections, find easter eggs, notice small references to earlier chapters/details/dialogue? What happened to reading critically?
I've just noticed that I get a lot of comments where people say they read really fast and like that's great but are you actually taking in the story or just rushing to get to the end so you can say first? there's been lots of little details, nods, foreshadowing that I've put in my fics that I've noticed very few pointed out, so I'm just wondering...why this push towards reading fast instead of critically?
I get that it's fanfiction and it's not really supposed to be like super academic, but I'm just curious.
very mad at the government
i love this post to death for whatever reason

“Ohhh she keeps adjusting her glasses how cute it’s probably an awkward quirk” no fuckass they are falling off. My nose is a slide. Glasses were made for such a specific white people nose type that not a single one I’ve ever tried (OF MANY) fits my (A WHITE PERSON BTW) breathing tunnels. Do better society
