Having a character grow up in solitary confinement and then ripping her away from the only family she's ever known to live a life of solitude once again is not good writing.

Having a character be in love with his best friend and then just compare it to a high school crush is not good writing.

Having Eleven say that Mike has always been the person who truly understood her after showing us in the previous seasons that he only sees her as a superhero IS NOT GOOD WRITING.

Buck: hey can you fix my shower drain, it’s clogged up again

Ravi: maybe if you put in a request like a normal person

Buck: maybe if you fixed it right the first time, I wouldn’t have to ask again

Ravi: the sink would be fine if you didn’t put hair down the drain

Buck: you know what, I’m paying you late again this month

That’s actually really funny 😂

But I also like the comparison we got.

Buck—barges in—just brings beer without needing to say what kind—sits on the couch right next to Eddie.

Chim—knocks on the door——waits to be invited in before walking inside—states what kind of beer he brought—sits on the chair instead of right next to Eddie.

And the fact we never see anyone actually sitting in the chair is also just 👀. Because Buck and Eddie don’t do that. They don’t do normal sitting arrangements and space.

Well yeah, they are trying to show us how different Eddie's friendship with Chimney is from the one with Buck. It's obvious how Buck and Eddie are more like spouses, while Eddie and Chimney are like brothers.

ravi: no. no. i am NOT doing this again.

eddie: what?

ravi: you do NOT get to take me out for drinks just to talk about buck the whole time.

eddie: this hasn’t happened before…

ravi: yes it has, only last time it was buck talking about you.

eddie, blushing: he talked about me? what did he say?

ravi: you better pray i don’t find one of your exes here.

eddie: what.
