Grungevetica: I was given a brief at university recently to create a variation of the font Helvetica, called ‘Grungevetica’, an update of the font composed of destroyed forms. The brief was inspired by Alexander Gelman who said “any good typeface can be destroyed”. This font, made up of newspaper cuttings, is my response, and was partially inspired by Jamie Reid and the Sex Pistols.
