Schrödinger's Karkat

I know a lot of people see Homestuck as just another pointless webcomic. But I see it as so much more.  God powers and aliens aside, the characters are some of the most realistic I have ever seen. They have problems. They fight with their parents. They fight with each other. They face problems together, and learn together. And none of them are solved overnight. They undergo believable character development. Hell, most of them are all just internet friends, which I think a lot of us can relate to. Not to mention, it is a creative story, with a lot of room for interpretation that makes it fun to read, and engaging.

And even putting aside the comic itself, and focussing on the fandom, it’s amazing. These people come together to celebrate something amazing. We come up with creative designs for our cosplays. We make friends. I met some of my best friends, and my partners, because of homestuck. 

What Andrew Hussie did, probably unintentionally, was beautiful. He created something fantastic, that brings people together, and brings out their creativity, friendship, and love. And I think we all owe him a huge thank you. This fandom has gone through its problems, but we pull through every time.

IF YOU’RE A HUMAN THOUGH, FUCK THAT. THIS IS STILL YOUR GOD SPEAKING. NOT A VERY GOOD GOD, AND NOT ONE THAT ACTUALLY DESERVES OR REQUIRES MUCH RECOGNITION BEYOND MAYBE A SHORT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, BUT STILL. TREAT ME WITH RESPECT, YOU SHITS, IT’S FUCKING DECENT. IT’S LIKE YOUR SPECIES DOESN’T KNOW WHAT MANNERS IS.

THOUGH I GUESS THAT SENTIMENT GOES TO EVERYONE? BE HALF FUCKING DECENT AND YOU AND I WILL PROBABLY GET ALONG. NO OBLIGATION FOR THAT, THOUGH, I COULD ALSO JUST AS EASILY FUCKING HATE YOU DEPENDING ON THE WORDS YOU CHOOSE TO UTILIZE NEXT.
