people often underestimate how transIDs could possibly be utilized to escape a harmful enviroment when there is no other way to cope. what's better than becoming the magical dragon or cute little doggy you've always wanted to be, in a desperate time of need? your trauma-weakened brain is sure to adapt quickly.. much easier to convince yourself of things when you need an escape, any escape.

I honestly think thats why my trans identities mean so much to me. Before I identified as nulltraumatized [and honestly b4 even realizing transids existed other than transage+gender] and I was actively in a abusive environment, I would become a permanently regressed doggy and I would constantly force myself to have hallucinations. I practiced everyday until I could see my comfort characters encouraging me to self harm or just overall comfort. If younger me knew about this transid shit, he would be all over it. Hell, I was all over transage.

Now, I've forced myself to process trauma and bad things that happened to me as an experience rather than something to be scared of. I've stopped seeing everything that happened to be as bad things. I stopped seeing getting worse as a bad thing either. After I have a panic attack over what happened to me, I just think about how much the rush excited me after it was all over. Or giving myself bruises because they're pretty rather than trying to quiet my mind. Becoming permahappy + nulltraumatized really changed me in a way that I am happy with.
