emiliano's lips stretched into a wide grin, "you're the best." he said as he bit back a smile, "i'm on it. i might need a little help, though... i'll drive my car round back. you didn't hear this from me either!"

hayoon couldn’t help but feel a little exhilaration, but kept her composure. “oh, don’t mention it,” she wafts her hand dismissively. “sounds good t’me ! just let me know when you’re ready to head home, and i’ll help you out.”

"what do you say?" nathaniel smiled, though it could've easily been mistaken for a smirk. "photo booths are a lot more fun with a friend."

elysia looks at nathaniel confused. “it’s been a LONG day and i look like crap ... you sure you want a picture with me?”

"     i'm   pretty    sure   this   is   an   individual   effort     ?     what   if   i   don't   want   to   split   the   prize     ?     "

“what if i don’t care? i mean, you can keep the prize—i just want to avoid looking like an idiot, that’s all. i’m not cut out for these scavenger hunts.”

"that's,  like,  such  a  really  good  fairy  wing.  mine  completely  fell  to  pieces  when  i  tried  putting  it  on!"

“thanks, but wait until i try it on myself.” hayoon laughs softly. “it will fall apart in a second. i’m not as artsy as everyone else here—come to think of it, i kind of don’t want to anymore.” she gives her set of fairy wings a once-over, and tightens her lips into a pout.

"i  just  saw  the  snack  carts  outside,  and  everything  looked  sooooo  good!  but  i’m  already  so  stuffed  from  all  this  food."

“mind if i ask what you ate?” she curiously asks. “i can’t help but wonder about the snack carts, too... might take a peek at what’s out there.”

he should be home now instead of searching for things, clearly frustrated at the lack of items in his basket. zion peered into their's, lips pressed into a thin line. "can i have your basket."

she follows his gaze, and they’re both peering into her basket. a small chuckle leaves her mouth. “i’m afraid we’re in the same boat, zion. my basket here isn’t gonna make a difference.” hayoon gave a grimace of frustration. “think they’ll notice if we work in pairs?” she awkwardly jokes.

𝜗୧ㅤׂ            “   you   do?   ”   she   asks,   her   eyes   widening   in   surprise   as   a   big   smile   spreads   across   her   face.   the   discovery   about   her   neighbor   delights   her.   “   you   know,   this   is   the   first   time   i’ve   heard   someone   say   they   actually   like   matcha.   my   friends   always   tease   me   about   it—   they   think   it’s   disgusting.   but   yes,   i’d   love   to   go   with   you.   especially   since   you’re   not   one   of   those   people   complaining   about   it.   ”

“of course i do,”  she gives her neighbor an enthusiastic smile. “i don’t think many people have a refined palate in ... things,” regardless, the woman understands that people have their own interests. “but shh, you didn’t hear that from me, piper.” disgusting? hmm, she couldn’t help but hum. “i guess it depends where they went to try matcha if they think it’s disgusting,” she shrugs a shoulder. “fantastic; if that’s the case, then matcha’s on me.”

"wow, they really went all out with the decoration for this place!" he knitted his brows, "do you think they'll notice if i brought home one of the plants? they're so hard to get."

“might as well,” she tilted her head to the side. “but wait a little longer until the event is completely over—but hey, i didn’t say anything. don’t you dare rat me out.”

“luckily for you, i’m not much of a coffee aficionado, and matcha does sound good.” she hums, “i’d love to, but are you sure you don’t want someone else to accompany you?”

"the  party  can  wait—this  can't.  i’ve  gotta  get  it  in  by  the  weekend.  you  go  on  and  enjoy  the  food  carts,  though.  i  heard  they’ve  got  some  escape  room  thing  going  on."

“don’t be ridiculous—go on and enjoy the food. it’s three o’clock, and if you haven’t had lunch,” she blinks, “—just go get energized. if there’s a problem, there could always be an extension.” she shrugs, “maybe.”
