She’s a girl who goes out there and gets whatever she wants. When I wrote ‘Icy Girl’, I was broke, girl. [The music video] was on no budget. My homegirl did my hair. My other homegirl did my makeup. Then I had a really dope stylist who didn’t charge me…When I wrote it, I was like ‘This is everything I want to be. I’m not it right now. But I’m gone be it.’”
