I started the new sketchbook, which lay idle for a long time, because I was afraid to ruin it. I haven't drawn for fun in such a long time. Therapy is magic!

How do you deal with tip leakage from built-up pressure in the cartridge? I am pulling the offending iso apart and then put it back together, but it seems messy.
Just let it leak onto some absorbent tissue paper? Would love to know your way.
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't think I'd get comments here.
If I understand you correctly, I didn't have this type of problem. It was the opposite, my ink often stopped flowing. I also took it apart and washed it, but it did not always work. I have a feeling that at some point the quality of the rotring deteriorated. I changed several isographs and all quickly failed, though I never had any problems with them before. Because of this, I had to finish this work with micron liners. I liked how thin the line turned out with rotring isographs, but now I'm afraid to buy them again

Fragments of a big work
omg this this this this!!! I absolutely love this!!!!! this is my favourite kind of illustration, the ones that are extremely detailed yet perfectly clear when it comes to the whole composition and the subject that is represented.... it's just so good because it always feels like it's part of a big complex world that extends well beyond what you can see as if the illustration were just an open window on another land. The attention to detail and the "tactile" aspects of it all is what makes the world feel lived in; it gives the impression of the passage of time, of the various generation of inhabitants that walked among the landscapes. What gets me about these two pieces in particular is that they feel so familiar and eerie simultaneously. This kind of stuff is what really gets me hooked on a fantasy/sci-fi book. Excellent work, brought me joy, 10/10 will reblog again
Thank you so much for such a wonderful feedback! I have read it several times. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't think I'd get comments here. I'm pleasantly surprised!
