Okay, so I bought an untested cassette deck off eBay, and I knew that I would probably need to fix it. When i tried to play a tape, motor whirring noise. Probably just bad belts. I open it, and the belts look... loose. When i grap one woth tweasers, it squshes???? The belts have not just broken stretched or disintegrated, no they have turned into fucking tar,

Ive began a little summer project, I've started backing up a bunch of old family videos recorded to Mini-DV. I've got 36 to go through, with each tape being 60 minutes, and the backup process playing the tapes in real time, this may take a while, but it's good for passing the time. Also it's nice to make good use my ever expanding early-mid 2000s tech horde lol. The nice part of the camcorder running in real time is that I can hook my sanyo tv to it, and watch the tapes as they are saved.
For the first time in my life, I got stung by a wasp. I was literally just walkong to my mailbox too, guess he got scared, stung me right above my foot. Also it was smaller and more red than the ones I usually see hovering around, wierd.
Currently playing Kerbal Space Program in the trunk of my car becausr it won't start, my dad will be here in hopefully under an hour to tow me out. Im the meantime, it's time for space :3.
Update: car is fixed! It was a bad battery terminal, didn't take to long to fix, starts good now.
