Pentition!

Like the description says, this blog is mostly dedicated to loving on My Time At Sandrock. Also specifically taking a look a Pen's character, all the positives and negatives there. We all know he's something else and whether you've chosen him as a romantic partner or not, you're welcome to share your thoughts.

I wanted to share more love with Sandrock's community and a character I feel has a lot of potential and is easily underrated just due to his initial personality.

you and me, shaking hands as we worry over our tone on the internet. but honestly? it's that kind of worrying and communication that makes me smile. compassion like what you've shown me is what's important in life, imo.

hearing that, though, it's all the more important why i removed myself from posting here with it. if i can't get all accounts of it, then i shouldn't post some. it's not fair. especially for folks who don't know what's up, or know very little (like me) but this blog is serving as a hub for info for them on it. i don't want to be the person spreading misinformation because i can't keep up with things. :/

thanks again for your intentions both before and now. i'm very grateful you think so. from what i've gotten to know about you, i think you're incredibly thoughtful, too. it's folks like you that make engaging in anything totally worth it. you are lovely.

i'm deciding to post this because i do genuinely believe you meant well and mean well. i privated the original ask of you informing me, so i have it still. i didn't like that i felt that it could have been potentially trapping, which sat with me ever since i answered it. so i reflected why i felt that way. especially when, as i described, i had so little involvement. i think that's just the curse of stuff like this that happens in communities. it's easy to focus on the negative, even if logically you know someone means well.

i appreciate you messaging me. i'm sorry if my tone was harsh. i take full accountability for that. hearing you explain your thought process now pretty much is similar to the conclusion i came to, too.

tbh, i've gotten way more positive and silly anons than i have negative ones. usually i just delete the negative ones to not give them a platform. so i think i knew you didn't mean harm but my brain just didn't catch up fully in processing it. otherwise, i would have either sat on the ask or deleted it. so i think i subconsciously knew but my instinct was to stay guarded while tackling the topic objectively - since that's stuff i'm trained to do and it has been a struggle to unlearn the 'guarded' part.

i've been told i sound indifferent a lot of the time. whether it's text tone or irl. i don't mean anything by it and there is a whole ass explanation for it. so again, i'm sorry if i was harsh at all in tone or commentary. yours was fine. i think a contributing factor was just that i had deleted some anon hate right before your message came in and it sent off 'trap' alarms and my wires got crossed with *motions to above*. i wanted to take replying seriously and be objective, but i also know how i can sound regardless if it's accurate or not to how i feel. so it wasn't you, don't worry.

that's part of the reason i made this blog. because i really like pen and i saw a few others did too. when all this stuff began happening, i thought it could be right to reblog all parties involved speaking. unfortunately, i can't do that. so what i'm going to do instead is just remove the few i have and resume posting pen stuff.

i don't personally have stakes in this and after reading things in full, from the doc to how people are responding to it and all that-- i think this situation is a two-way street still. i can't blame people for defending their friends, being sick of harassment and all that. how it is handled is what matters and there has been good and bad from both parties. but then, i also know a bare minimum it feels.

i think in the end, everyone just wants to have a safe community to enjoy. i know i do. i was never sure what to expect when i came here, liking a character the majority didn't. so i'm grateful plenty of folks have been really great outweigh the anons i've received. for folks who follow or check in here for pen stuff, that's what i'll focus on and seems fair. i can only be objective and neutral because i'm not involved, and while ideally it might be nice to lend everyone involved a voice - i can't keep up with it. and i wouldn't feel right if it's just some and not others, either. i've been reading everything i can and feel lost on a chunk of things just due to a lack of context.

to avoid becoming the majority of my family, i'm going to not talk about something when i don't have the context. i don't want to hurt people through ignorance or have that ignorance weaponized either. not that i think my little corner here carries that weight at all, lmao. i like it being a little nook here on tumblr.

i don't mind if someone wants to talk privately. i don't really have much to offer on the subject of all this? but i'd rather like, foster good will and what not and listen.

I've been doing alright, moved to my own place on the other side of my country and I've been exploring the new area. Lots a farmland, but perfect for long walks with my dog. Not much else going on here though, luckily I like the quiet.
