What are some random headcanons you have on the Tetris characters? (Tetra Crew, Ex, Marle, Squares)
Oh boy suddenly I've never had a headcanon in my life
I'm probably gonna think of a million more after I post this but here's a few for each character (though some of them are subject to change/AU specific):
He loves his job as captain, he really does, but he hates balancing budgets. Typically he ends up dragging Ess or Ai to help him (or just for moral support).
He has a small collection of paper books (a somewhat rare commodity in the age of holograms and projections).
His main outfit has remained almost identical since he was like. 10. The only thing that's changed is the size.
He's the type of person to use one of those 3-in-1 shampoo conditioner body wash, much to Ess' horror.
His Tetris King title is illegitimate in the eyes of the state.
He cannot handle spicy foods. Like at all. Not even a little bit.
His favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla.
Tee challenged Ex for his title a lot. Often multiple times per day. He also lost a lot. Sometimes Ex would put a self-imposed handicap on himself so the match would last more than like 30 seconds. Tee hated that- something something wanting his opponents to face him with their full strength and not hold back something something feeling like if he won under those conditions it would invalidate the achievement.
One day Ex was like "Alright, for this match, I'll only clear one line at a time!" Tee scoffed at that. Really? How would he ever hope to win with a restriction like that? He entered the match expecting a quick, hollow victory.
That match was his first experience with a center 4-wide.
Sometime's she'll drag Tee, Jay or Elle to her room to do their makeup when she wants to try something new but like, not on herself.
She tried doing Ai's makeup once. The pigment did not wash out easily. He was pink for like a week.
She's the primary cook on the ship behind Zed, as she likes to help prepare meals with him so they can spend more time together.
She has multiple little nap spots set up across the Tetra.
When she was little she had an intense fear of falling into a black hole.
One of her favorite memories is when she got to see a supernova happen in person.
I flip flop on whether or not she gets her memories back or if Tee is the only one with any sort of memory of Ex, but in the event that she does get her memories back, she never calls him her papa. That title still goes to Zed because he raised her for just as long if not longer than Ex and hasn't been absent from her life for like a decade. She does eventually start calling him "dad" though.
On a similar note, she's not stupid, she knows Zed isn't her biological father, she just doesn't care. From her perspective she never met her bio dad, he never played a role in her life, and the who and where and why don't really matter.
When she was little she would run around the ship proclaiming herself the Tetris Princess and demanding people bow down to her and have tea parties with her.
He was always a pretty anxious kid, but it got way worse after Ex vanished.
He enjoys making little trinkets and pointless contraptions with whatever scrap he can get his hands on.
Some of those little trinkets include weapons.
You will never find them all.
He sheds. A lot. There is not a single square inch of the Tetra that is free from his hair.
Does not like it when people treat him like an actual dog, he finds it very patronizing. He's not very good at articulating that though, especially because it happens most often when he's having a panic attack.
Hates going into cities. Too loud and bright and smelly and fast.
Chocolate isn't poisonous to him, but it does still upset his stomach. Like a lactose intolerant person to dairy, however, that does not stop him from eating it.
He can hear and smell better than the rest of the crew can, but his eyesight is ASS without his glasses. Can't see more than like. 10cm from his face.
He always carries at least one extra pair of glasses on him at all times.
He's the primary gardener for the ship's greenhouse, though most of the actual plant-tending is handled by automated systems.
Though Ess is the only one who will explicitly call Zed her dad, he's something of a father figure for all of the Tetra crew, barring maybe Tee.
I like to think he was built to raise and look after both Ess and Ai as opposed to just Ess, but while Ess' response to losing Ex was to cling to the closest thing she had to a father, Ai's was to draw into himself, hence the above bullet point.
He used to read bedtime stories to most of the crew when they were younger. Ess was always able to wrangle at least 2 extra out of him before she actually went to bed.
Though he typically takes care of most of it, he has taught every member of the crew how to do things like cook, clean, and do laundry.
They live to annoy. They'll make up little bits and drive them into the ground until no one but them finds them funny. The fact that no one but them finds it funny actually makes it even funnier to them.
Even though their extrasensory powers have helped the crew on multiple occasions, they don't exactly have a concrete job- at least not like the other crew members. They often end up feeling left out or just generally bored when everyone but them has an important job to do.
They both have their own separate rooms, though sometimes they'll have "sleepovers".
They set up a modded Minecraft server for the ship. They're the only one's really active on it, though.
Sometimes, when they're being too annoying, or something really important is happening on the ship and Tee doesn't want to risk them messing something up, they'll be dropped off at the Edge of Spacetime so Ex can babysit them.
They don't actually hate that arrangement. Ex has some interesting stories and they usually bring a couple games to keep them occupied. Also gives them the chance to actually run around without risking breaking something or bowling someone over.
Ever since becoming Keeper of Dimensions, he doesn't need to eat, drink, or sleep. His body runs basically entirely off of magic.
While he still retains the ability to sleep, the same cannot be said for eating or drinking.
Oftentimes I bundle Keeper magic with immortality (typically the type where he can still die horribly, he just gets revived afterwards)
Other times I bundle Keeper magic with Instant Death instead, which is how I have Tee kill him. No I will not elaborate.
He's the only one willing to use percussive maintenance on Zed.
This may just be me coping over the fact that he barely fucking does anything in PPT2 but I like to think he was at least trying to run some sort of damage control while Ringo and Tee and everyone tried to find and stop the guy merging the dimensions and he just chose not to mention it.
Either that or he saw that he couldn't do his job because someone more powerful than him was actively causing the dimensions to merge and went "Oh great I've been overdue for a vacation".
He can leave the Edge of Spacetime despite being 'bound' to it in the same way that you can stick your hand in a pot of boiling water- it hurts and the longer he does it for the more damage there is.
Before he became Tetris King and Captain of the SS Tetra, he worked a minimum wage job as an engineer on a freight ship.
Before he became Keeper, his eyes were the same shade of blue as Ess'. Since Ess took after her mother in almost every other aspect, eye color was really the only physical trait they shared.
He DID NOT wear the clown fit while he was captain. I refuse to believe that. I simply refuse to. He had a normal, respectable outfit before he got enlisted and went "Damn. Might as well wear something stupid. Not like anyone's gonna see me. Or find my corpse." He was wearing the clown fit in Tee's dream in chapter 10 because 1. that was actually him in the dream and thus reflected his current appearance, and 2. Tee's memories of Ex from before he became Keeper were really hazy and thus his vision of Ex in his dreams is based on what he does clearly remember.
He can teleport himself and others basically anywhere, but he cannot create portals. Keeper magic is specifically designed to mend rifts in spacetime and a portal is, essentially, a stable rift in spacetime. That's why Ecolo had to create the portal and get Satan/Dark Prince to supply the magic to sustain it. Ex couldn't have opened the portal himself and if he had tried to power it, his magic would have automatically closed it.
This does mean that if the portal connecting the edge of spacetime to the SS Tetra ever closes, he's kinda fucked.
Marle's seen quite a few Keepers come and go, and for a long time she never quite understood why they were all so sad? They were basically in the same situation as her- alone, watching over the dimensions -and she did perfectly fine?
Yeah I'm gonna be honest I don't have like any headcanons for either of these guys
I also don't have any headcanons for O which is why he's not even on the list
