I find the thought of O!Jermy having a cat he absolutely despises to his core ironically funny but given his stingy ass parents I feel like him not having any pet at all would also make sense because y'know high petcare prices

You see, some burglars broke into Jeremy's house, so his father decided to get a guard dog.
Well, he just grabbed the first one he found on the street, which turned out to be Chuckles.
He’s an old dog with a lot of health issues. A few weeks after being adopted, he went blind and his hind legs stopped working.
Because Jermy and his mother have a germ phobia, they kept him tied up outside all day.
It made Jermy nervous to see the animal dragging itself along the ground, so he used his savings to buy him a wheelchair (he makes good money appearing in kids' commercials).
Also, out of fear of catching his dog's illnesses, he started buying him medication and taking him to the vet (using a very long leash, of course, because there’s no way he’d touch that thing).
He also buys him very expensive dog food because he heard that diet is important for health, plus a doghouse so he wouldn't get sick from the cold.
His dog hates him. Even though he’s blind and partially deaf, he has an incredible sense of smell, and whenever he catches Jermy's scent, he starts growling and barking.
He’s very aggressive and bites anyone who gets close to him.
