A new Camp Camp AU! Because the other 30 I’ve abandoned just aren't enough for me :D (please, kill me).
Neil and Nikki are step-siblings.
They can't stand each other: Neil hates Nikki's mom and thinks Nikki is a wild lunatic. Nikki thinks Neil is a boring, stuck-up nerd.
One day, they find a strange creature—an alien: Max!
At first, they treat him like a wild animal, but they soon realize Max is just as smart as—or even smarter than—a human; he’s a rational, thinking being.
So, the plot is about how the three of them form a friendship. Maybe they have to run from the government—or something like that—to keep Max from getting killed, and maybe flee from a cult too; I don't know.
Neil is 13 and Nikki is 12 in this AU.
Oh, and Max doesn't speak human languages—because I hate how aliens in movies speak English! It makes absolutely no fucking sense! So, Neil, Nikki, and Max have to find alternative ways to communicate while learning each other's languages.
Plus, that leads to funny moments: Neil trying to say something in Max's language, and Max laughing at him for like three hours because, while trying to say "How are you?", Neil accidentally says something embarrassing—like "I have a small dick" or something similar.
And the very first thing Max learned to say in a human language was definitely a swear word or an insult.
Oh, by the way, David is dead in this AU :D He died helping Max escape from a government base. He used to work there as a cleaner.
