Got anxious earlier when my brother knocked saying his phone was missing. Tried calling his number and it was ringing but he mentioned that his phone was on vibrate. Thankfully, he just misplaced it... in his bag lol.
We had an incident here in the house once where we got robbed. They took my dad’s phone and two of his wallets which were on the coffee table but left the laptop. I think they didn’t see it when they came inside. My dad was even sleeping in the sala when that happened! Really grateful they didn’t harm him.
And just recently, while we were out of town for an outing, there was an attempted break-in. Our dad’s office driver, which was also our neighbor noticed a guy hanging around just outside our house! He asked him to leave cause he knew we were in Quezon that time and would only be back the next day. He grew more suspicious cause that person told him that he was waiting for us cause we called him to repair something in the house. Which is not true, btw.
Once we got home, my dad noticed that our door was already tampered with. It was being picked with a sharp object to dismantle the lock on our door. Thank God the house was not broken into and uncle driver saw the guy while we were away.
Since that happened a double bolt lock was added to the door, which means more keys! And an obstacle to open the door when the lights aren’t on outside. But, safety is better than just having one key.
