     FRUSTRATION   HAS   OVERCOME   !   doesn’t  have  the  heart  to  direct  her  back  inside   ;   all  she’d  see  is  shattered  plates  and  crushed  silverstoneware  that  he  knew  his  parents  had  gotten   FOREVER   ago  as  wedding  presents   .   and  so  to  the  backyards  he  had  fled   ,   hunched  over   ,   palms  pressed  to  his  eyes   .   at  pebbles  voice   ,   he  attempts  to  shift  demeanor               but  it’s   too   late    ,     she’d   seen   him    .    ‘   no  one  did  anything  but   ME    ,    pebs   .   .   .   pebbles   ,   why  aren’t  you  afraid  of  me   ?   ’   for  he  was  a  MONSTER    !    nothing  scared  bamm-bamm  as  much  as  himself   .

              ❛  a boy — huh?  ❜  thin lines curve upwards slyly,  betty knew very well about the chemistry between her son and pebbles, though they won’t admit it yet.  ❛  wanna tell me what he’s like, sweetie?  ❜ glancing towards her as she picks out a few dresses to try on.  wilma had to take dino to the vet and she happily volunteered to accompany pebbles. ❛  it’ll be our little secret,  ❜  digits lift a blue dress over her head before she moves it aside, a small wink. 

         ‘   WE’VE   GOT   A   LOT   IN   COMMON    ,    you   know    .   ’    PEBBLES   BEWARE    !    the  girl  looked  spun  of   sugar   cane   serenity    ,    but  it  was   the   devil   which  had  hold  of  her   tongue    !

          ‘   i  mean   ,    i   have   a   sensible   name    ,    obviously    ,    and  my  hair  is  far  superior   -   but  it’s  that’s  just  a  general  rule  of  thumb   ,   especially  up  against  a   redhead    ,    we’re  both   FASHION   FORWARD    ,    MODERN   WOMEN   in  a  world   too   slow    .   ’   or   was   it   the  other   way   around    ?    didn’t   matter    .    ‘   you  have  a  big  pretty  lug  for  a  boyfriend  too   ,   don’t  you   ?   is  he  an  idiot   ?   mine   is   .   ’

                         WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE A COMPLIMENT ??  maybe the brunette’s intentions were good ,  but still  ---  she did bash the girl’s name  &&  hair  (  her perfect ,  flame - colored hair !!  ) ;  even pebbles knew not to do that !!  regardless ,  she decides not to give the subject much thought ;  at least jackie was right about a thing or two !!
