I have no other clay but this ugly ass orange one that RUINS my life whenever I have to paint it and seal this orange-y color 💔 That means, if you really want it, do it. I don't think don't having proper material will stop you.

So, I actually started modeling a complete 3D Migueoth head and spent about 40 minutes on it just to realize later it would look weird and start over. RAHHHGHHH 🦅🦅🦅

Then I made this with a paper mold and was satisfied with how it looked. At least it looked more like one of those cool pins.

In my opinion, I shouldn't have put the pin inside the clay, I think I would have better results if I glued it later. I was scared of it getting too fragile and falling.

waited for it to dry, sanded and painted it black first so I could seal the orange color. Something I wish I KNEW when sculpting that one Yonny figurine (seriously, would have saved me lots of time)

And I STRUGGLED to paint the first coat because it was mixing with the black paint THAT WAS DRY???? but I figured it later.

It was looking very crusty like this but I was very excited already

Then after the 500 billion coats of paint to cover my mistakes I sealed the color with, you won't believe it, TRANSPARENT NAIL POLISHER

pretty much bc I didn't had anything else to use and it worked the previous times so I'm not complaining 🧍

I wasn't opting to draw the black outlines with paint so I did with a marker and it worked pretty well!

He turned out like what you guys saw already and I'm hoping hes strong enough so I can use him on my backpack. (Won't be surprised if he breaks all of sudden just because bc that clay is HORRIBLE and a random cheap ass clay I found)

LESSON: If you don't have proper material, shut up, anything is proper material when you really, REALLY, want it.
