I can’t believe there are people who don’t love Louis for how mean he can be.
He’s a huge bitch, especially this season and I personally find it incredibly charming. I think he needs to be way worse.
Daniel in his book probably: Armand returned from the hunt looking windswept, but not overly so. His shining black curls were gently tousled but no less perfect than when he’d left. Wind was nothing to a creature like him. Something to be brushed off. It could not touch him. It would not get the privilege.
The way he moved was effortless, feline-like. He had such an elegance about him. A perpetual seduction, which was juxtaposed by big, shining doe eyes. Somehow, despite everything, there was an innocence behind it all. A frightened child buried deep beneath the horror and the staggering, undeniable beauty. A devastating fragility.
What an absolute bastard.
Now here is a breakdown of every single element of his outfit—
Literally everyone who read the book:

I find it so funny that in 6x03 Cas tells Sam he has a more profound bond with Dean. Of course because he gripped him tight and raised him from perdition.
But, didn’t Cas raise Sam from the cage in hell? Annnd no bond.
Cas saving Dean
Cas saving Sam
That poor maid standing there listening to Lestat and Gabriella talking
like has that revolution started yet orrrrr…???
Daniel: I don’t have any powers.
Me:
I wanna talk a little bit about the criticisms of this series from book fans so far because a lot of it has been a little bit... baffling to me? And by book fans I mean the ones who enjoyed the first two seasons, not the ones who have nothing but hate in their hearts for the entire show.
First of all I just don't really know where this sudden expectation has come from that the show would be a complete 1x1 adaptation of the book, when the first two seasons changed so much about Louis and Claudia's stories. Maybe it's because this is the first time The Vampire Lestat has been adapted on screen so people were hoping for more of a straight adaptation, compared to IWTV where people had already seen that story adapted and were looking for something a bit different. Idk, we're only two episodes in so it's hard to make a full judgement, but I think the adaptation of the book material so far has been really good.
If people have criticisms of the show then I think that's valid and I'm not saying that the show is above criticism at all, but I do also think that quite a lot of the criticism I've seen specifically regarding the adaptation of the book is a little... shallow? I've seen people in uproar over scenes that have been cut from the book, but they don't take into account what purpose those scenes served narratively in the book, or how the show is conveying those same things in different ways.
In the book, we see Lestat fighting a pack of wolves singlehandedly and it's really cool and badass, but the point is to show the lengths Lestat will go to for acceptance and approval, and also how his relationships with other characters develop in the aftermath. The fight itself isn't the point, and I think the show still effectively showed us why he did it and how it impacted him.
In the book we see Lestat going off to the monastery to study and then later trying to run away with the theatre troupe, only to be brought back home to his father, and the point is that Lestat craves freedom from a household that simultaneously loathes him while refusing to let him leave. The exact same thing is conveyed by the dinner montage scene where we see his father refuse to send him away and then later berating him for trying to leave on his own.
Anne had to give us more detail about these things in order to tell her story because she was writing it. A TV show or a movie can do that differently because they're able to show us things happening. And I don't think one is necessarily better than the other, they're just two different mediums. But the point is they're still telling the same story, and so far I don't think there's anything that's been notably absent from Lestat's story in a way that actually impacts the narrative.

okay but young dm headcanon, The first time Daniel felt how cold Armand's hands were, he would hold them close, blow his breathe on them while rubbing them to generate heat with soft kisses to each knuckle. Armand was so endeared by it, he allowed him to believe it helped. However, Daniel never stopped even with the knowledge that it had no real success, they both still pretended it did.

Assad being confused and being like did you even watch the show??? Yeah we’re going to be FEASTING
WE ARE!!
Assad was like... I didn't memorise every line of your body and taste the inside of your mouth to be misrepresented like this lmao
failing your child
Also, no wonder Lestat made an ass of himself at the de Pointe du Lac family dinner in season one, he has no home training and a family dinner table is a PVP enabled zone in his mind. He is used to it being a WWE SmackDown and not the site of quiet and deftly targeted advanced psychological warfare tactics like in a normal dysfunctional family.

annoying4annoying (insp)
They are so annoying (affectionate)
You know who also talks out of thier ass?
People who clearly have not seen talk radio and are saying Eric can't act. We are two episodes in. I'm banking on the moment we get anything else from him and armand it's suddenly going to be "Oh! He can act!" Are we not watching the same show? Has everyone forgotten the look on his face in the alley scene after Guy leaves in talamasca???
Its going to be GOOD! it's going to be JUICY! it's going to be HOT STEAMY BEANY SOUP!!!!!!!! AND IM GONNA BE SLURPING IT UP!
(banging fists on the table)
HE IS ACTING IS ASS OFF!!!! 😭😭😭
That vulnerability in the "I feel him" moment, his facial expressions, his voice, the way he snaps out of it and pushes past it when he gets shut down. Even his faces in the two shots we've seen so far of him with Armand. He's going to kill us when he goes fully into the stuff with Armand! And I can't wait to see what this "most intense stuff he's ever filmed" scene is because I think it's going to BREAK ME! (screaming from a rooftop)
