Hi there! No requests or anything just here to say that I love all of your works (I might be biased here) especially your Alfie fics! I would've sent an ask earlier but I saw your news and I thought you were taking a hiatus from Tumblr for awhile. Congratulations on the baby! Hope you have a safe delivery and healthy baby! Lots of love and support!!!
Thank you š it means so much to know that people are still enjoying my work, I love logging back onto Tumblr and seeing messages like this so thank you so much! Baby arrived safe and sound and is currently taking up all my time with cuddles š„° Thank you for your well wishes x
Do you think you will make a part 2 of peaky girl?? It was amazing
I wonāt lie, itās very unlikely. Iām struggling to even finish fics that Iāve started and have a plan for so Peaky Girl is most likely going to remain a one parter.

Hi is there going to be a another part to stress relief, I love this story and I love how you write Alfieš ā¤ļøšš
Hi! Thank you!
Hopefully, however I found out that Iām having a (completely unplanned) baby in the summer so any time not working or sleeping is being spent frantically making sure the house is hospitable and researching how to look after another human being.
I have started the next part though I think itās just going to take a long time for me to get it finished...
This story may be potentially upsetting to some as it features around the life of an ex-sex worker, although itās not the main theme of the story itās likely to contain certain aspects that may upset some people. - Use your own discretion.
Based on a requested prompt in which Michaelās wife and her friend are blackmailed for money and, being unable to come up with the amount of cash needed, Michaelās wife pawns her wedding and engagement rings.
I never planned to lead the life I have. Never intended to end up on the streets working corners, eventually ending up under the āprotectionā of Richard. Iād never intended to rob the place and flee to Birmingham either, but sometimes life takes turns no-one expects. And it had continued that way when I met Michael Gray, married him and shut my old life firmly behind bolted doors never to be thought of again.
At least, thatās what I had intended until Richard appears on my doorstep, dressed dashingly enough that his seedy personality and profession would seem unbelievable if you knew no better.
āEvening lovely,ā he says with a smile, removing his hat and slicking his dark hair back as he takes advantage of my shock and pushes through the front door. āBeen a long time,ā he continues, making his way through my house and into the living room. āOh well this is just fate aināt it lovely? Janeās here as well!ā Richard walks over to Jane who sits, as bewildered as I am, in the high backed armchair. āSaves me an extra journey. Cracking. Now move,ā he orders, gesturing for Jane to evacuate her chair.
āJane, donāt-ā I start, but the habitual need to follow Richardās orders, the fear he spent months instilling into our psyche, is still strong enough that she shoots out of her chair and across the room before the words even leave my mouth.
āNo need to be like that lovely, I bet sheās āere all the time, being married to a Peaky lad, Iām a guest aināt I? And Iām getting on a bit, you wonāt begrudge me the comfy chair will you Jane?ā
She shakes her head, face pale as she wrings her hands nervously in her lap.
āYouāre not a guest Richard. Donāt think you can get comfy here, Michael will be back soon,ā I say, placing a comforting hand on Janeās shoulder. This is my house and despite the churning in my stomach, the wrenching of nerves and fear, I need to at least paint a strong and commanding exterior.
āAhhh Michael.ā Richard plucks a folded piece of paper from his jacket and flicks it between his fingers. āIs he a Mike? Or a Mick? Maybe a Mickey with that baby face-ā
āWhy are you here Richard?ā I interrupt, eyes never leaving the paper now gripped in his fist.
āYou know, I did you a lot of favours lovely. And you canāt say I didnāt,ā he adds quickly, catching the twitch of an argument on my lips. āI took you in when you were nothing, when you were vermin crawling the streets and I gave you shelter, food, a clean change of clothes, steady income and protection. I transformed you. And you-ā he points to Jane, leaning forward to glare at us, ādonāt even get me started on what I did for you. But what did I get for all that, lovely? Ay? Well you fucking robbed me didnāt you?ā
āI earned that-ā
āEarned,ā Richard scoffs. āEarned by arse, all you ever had to do was lie on your back and suck a few dicks, youāre lucky you got everything you did.ā He waves his hand and reclines in the chair, the folded paper reappears between his fingers. āForget all that, you robbed me of much more than you were entitled to even by your workings didnāt you? But what did I do when I found out? I let you go with it, as a favour to my favourite girl. And nowā¦ā
Before he even says it, I know whatās coming next. I was never going to outrun Richard, I may have had a chance on my own, fled further than Birmingham, escaped far enough that my old life could never resurface. But Iād taken Jane with me, the broken girl, little more than a child whoād clung to me for protection and affection, the girl whoād fallen in love and stalled our fleeing for long enough that Iād fallen in love too. Weād had a good run, Richardās voluntary ignorance had let us set up a life - but now it was time to repay that favour.
Please please please upload the 21 fic with alfie to your ao3 tumblr is blocking chapters and Iāve loved it and donāt want to miss out chapters
Oh how annoying! Which chapters are being blocked? I am in the process of getting everything ready to move to AO3, itās just taking a while - Iāll try and get some moved across tonight for you š

A few days later a knock on my door startles me from another dreary book Iāve taken up to pass the time. Itās been a while since anyone has visited me at home and for a second I wonder whether itās Michael.
āI know youāre in there,ā a womanās voice says. āI can see your shadow moving under the door. Open up.ā
I donāt recognise the voice so I keep my foot lodged behind the door as I open it a crack. It doesnāt help though as the woman flings the door back with such force I fear that she may have broken my foot.
āWhat do you think youāre doing?ā I shout, whirling round ready to scream at the intruder. But I think better of it when I realise itās Polly Gray.
Although weāve never officially met, Polly is someone you recognise if you have any dealings in Small Heath.
āWhat do I think Iām doing?ā she echos, a devilish smile tugging at the corners of her lips upward. āThatās rich coming from you, you whore.ā
In all this time Iāve managed to avoid an outright confrontation such as this. Snide remarks whispered behind my back as I walk through the street, a general look of disdain, of course, but never someone so blatantly calling me out to my face. It seems fitting that itās Michaelās mother who breaks that.
āI hope you realise what youāve done, the upset youāve caused Michael,ā she adds, calmly and slowly. Much the same way Michael speaks when heās trying to intimidate someone.
āThe way he spoke to me the other night gave me some indication, yes.ā
āI could have told him straight away, Iād have known as soon as I laid eyes on you,ā she continues without even registering my reply. āNothing good comes from lying and deceiving people, but I suppose this-ā she waves around the dilapidated flat, āis comumpence enough.ā
I ignore the blatant hypocrisy in her statement.
āI know. I should have told Michael I was married from the start.ā
āBut what gets me is that even after all the trouble you made for yourself, youāre straight into the arms of another bloke-ā
I splutter out a laugh at her assumption. The same one Michael jumped to the other night. They even have the same look of crippling disappointment on their face.
āI appreciate that Michael is your son and it must be difficult to see him upset, knowing that Iām the reason for it, but Iām not in a relationship with the man Michael saw me with, which heād have known had he given me even a second to explain myself. I-ā
āSo he can listen to your lies some more? Not a chance.ā
āIām not lying! Iāve never lied to Michael!ā Her eyebrows flick higher and Iām sure sheās calculating a scathing remark to put her back on her high horse, but I donāt give her chance to voice it. āI may not have expressly told him every detail about my life, but believe me when I say that to begin with, Michael wouldnāt have given a shit that I was married.ā
āYouāre no good. I wish Iād have known about you from the start then I could have fixed this before he got hurt. I think it would be in your best interest to leave the city.ā
I know this trick: not an outright threat but the promise of harm hangs heavy over her words. Nevertheless, Polly Gray and the Peaky Blinders donāt scare me. Perhaps they should, perhaps Polly may even have a point, a fresh start could fix everything. But Iām too stubborn and I know too much about the Shelby business for it to be clever for them to threaten or harm me.
āIāve lived here my entire life. My family have lived in Birmingham for generations, which is more than you can say. Iām not going anywhere. I made a choice and it was the wrong one, now I have deal with that. Because thatās what you have to do in life, you have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Although, Iām sure itās safe to say Michaelās not facing as much backlash as this is he?ā
āMichaelās not the one whoās been having an affair and then-ā
āIāve said Iām sorry! I know that not telling Michael was the wrong thing to do, it was deceitful and it hurt him and if I knew the way Iād end up feeling about him, and the way he felt about me, I would have told him straight away!ā
āWell thatās lovely, but actions speak louder than words and your actions are less than savoury,ā Polly snaps back.
āThe bloke Michael saw me with isnāt someone Iām stepping out with-ā
āIf itās money you need to leave just tell me how much,ā Polly interrupts.
āI donāt need money, because Iām not leaving, because Iāve. Done. Nothing. Wrong.ā
Polly chuckles. āPerhaps you should try speaking-ā
āYouāre not listening to me! Have you even listened to a word Iāve said?ā
āI have-ā
āNo! You stop talking now! You barged your way into my home, throwing abuse and accusations at me without giving me even the slightest chance to explain myself! Gray, Shelby, whatever you are be damned, you will listen to me.ā I take a step towards her, emboldened by weeks of near solitude and exile. āI made a mistake that Iām paying for. Iāve apologised as much as Michael will allow me to, and if I could go back and do it all again, I certainly wouldnāt make the same mistake twice. But Michael is far from innocent and, most importantly, THE MAN MICHAEL SAW ME WITH WAS MY BROTHER!ā
As my angry words register with her, a wave of emotions flit across her face; confusion, realisation, embarrassment, until she regained control of her features and sets her mouth back in a straight line.
āYou want his address? Here, Iāll write it down for you,ā I add, smug that I finally have the upper hand as I scrawl his street and house number onto a scrap piece of paper. āMaybe you can send some of your goons round, give him a good questioning. Or, perhaps I could give you my mum's address and she can-ā
āThatās enough,ā Polly says, snatching the piece of paper from me.
āThen get out,ā I order, exhausted with the flurry of emotions Pollyās presence has elicited.
She listens, however, and barges past me towards the door, pocketing the scrap of paper as she goes. In the quiet she leaves, my emotions overtake me and I collapse into bed.
I hear nothing more from Polly, nor anyone else for the next few days, so when a tentative knock sounds on my door I practically hurl myself across the room to answer it.
āHello.ā
āMichael,ā I reply, barely believing the sight before my eyes.
āCan I come in?ā he asks after a few seconds of heavy silence and I step aside. He glances around the meagre flat, his hat balled in his fists, until I gesture to the sofa and he takes a seat on the edge of the cushion. āI owe you an apology,ā he says, pausing as he awaits a response.
I stay silent and standing, watching as his gaze flits everywhere but me.
āThe way I handled things wasnāt⦠I should have⦠there were much better ways I could have reacted,ā he settles on finally. āYouāve had a lot to deal with, some of which I could have stopped and none of which you deserved, so Iām sorry that I let that happen. Since I spoke to my mum Iāve been trying to smooth some things over so you can go back to your normal life.ā Thereās a strain to his voice that I canāt place. Somewhere between anger and upset. Every word he speaks seems to weigh on him until he canāt even lift his eyes from the floor.
āI appreciate you coming here to apologise, and for trying to help me out. But itās my own burden to bear, I should have been honest with you from the start. In fact I should never have even been with you, I was married, I shouldnāt have been so selfish. I should have been a better-ā
āDonāt say that,ā Michael interrupts. āDonāt even finish that sentence.ā He runs a hand through his hair and shoots up from his seat like heās about to take my hands before he catches himself and stops. āLook, Iāve been asking around, talking to some people and theyāve told me about your life, stuff that I didnāt know, that I didnāt even consider when I kicked you out. After everything you did for me, you deserved better than the way I acted and you deserved better than the way he treated you. Iām sorry.ā The rehearsed words tumble from his mouth, hurried as if heās worried theyāll escape him if he doesnāt get them out.
āMichael-ā
āIām not asking you to forgive me right now, I just wanted you to know that Iām sorry for hurting youā¦ā He finally looks at me, his eyes glossy, and takes one of my hands in his, rubbing soft circles across it with his thumb.āJust give me a bit of time, a chance to make everything right, because I will. I promise I will.ā Ā
āYou donāt have to do that Michael.ā
āI do, because I couldnāt live with myself if I didnātā¦ā He pauses and his gaze drops to where our fingers have laced together instinctively despite so long apart, before he looks at me again, no trace of the withheld tears that cling to his eyes before. āI know I havenāt shown you, but believe me when I say this⦠I love you.ā
hi, I thought maybe you can name your fav peaky blinders authors if you read? or maybe just some texts you liked? x
Hello friend,
I both love and hate being asked this question because I KNOW I will forget someone and that makes me feel horrid. But here are some of those writers who immediately spring to mind. I do tag all fics I share with #not mine - so you can search my blog too. Iām not sure what you are looking for in particular so here are a few options:
Tommy
@prettieparker86 - itās all about Tommy and angst/ exploring emotions here, three wonderful series here. smut.Ā
@tommysmutnothingbut - also all about Tommy, but this time all about the smut. Itās what it says on the tin. This stuff is HOT. Dom! Tommy features heavily.Ā
Alfie@inkinterrupted - there are a few wonderful Alfie series here, but this author has written a range of wonderful Tom Hardy characters too. Smut
@peaky-yamyam - Has been a little inactive lately but still well worth a look. Smut
Assorted
@blinder-secrets - the whole gang - no smut.
@collecting-stories - again the whole gang and no smutĀ
@xxdearlybeloved - a variety of characters and smut!
@danceyreagan - assorted characters, particularlyĀ Isaiah Jesus, reader is also a WOC.Ā
@ hethrewmyheartinthecutĀ - writes an amazing range of characters and pairings - also the creator of the AMAZING peaky pairings quiz.Ā Whoās Your Peaky Match? quiz.
Tommy x Alfie
@whentommymetalfie - the OG. Thereās a whole wonderful array of mostly fluffy (but with occasionalĀ heartbreaking angst) Tommy x Alfie and extended fam stuff. Art too!
@darkandstormyslash - mostly on AO3, mostly smut, BDSM themes (basically what it says on the tin, dark and stormy slash)
@bluerighthand - an AU of the young Shelbyās, with some Alfie too.Ā
@fiveaceslike Ā - lots of wonderful headcanons and theories
@zainclaw - their first chapter in their coffee shop AU is wonderfulĀ
@toyhto - amazing interesting work, mostly on AO3.Ā
@pure-bastard-extract - mostly does amazing art, but has written some great pieces, which with the current changes to visual āadult contentā we may see more of!! (nudge, nudge)Ā
Okay, Iām stopping there. If I forgot you Iām sorry, it wasnāt intentional.Ā
