unfortunately his admission brings a pleased hum from her . maybe it's vain but she thinks that dream her still being hot to him is good enough to cushion any other negative emotions she might be feeling right now . " a friend invited me and i'm trying this new thing where i say yes more often . " it's a decision that she's only started regretting when this interaction began . more - so when she's made to face comments like the ones ira's making . " it's not my kind of place . it's hot and my shoes are sticking to floor from the drink i stepped in earlier , " she forgoes mentioning that she's having fun regardless , " things were different back then . “all day? i just saw you this morning.” her eyes roll, a soft laugh slipping out just before her lips meet his. she leans into him easily, settling into his lap like it’s second nature. “what were you saying… bragging about how cool your girlfriend is?” there’s a teasing lilt to her voice, her hands sliding into his hair as her nose brushes against his. she lingers there for a second, close enough to feel his breath. “the boys are gonna be back soon,” she murmurs, barely pulling away, though she makes no real move to get up. “if they catch us, i’ll never hear the end of it.”

" felt like all day . " smile feels permanently etched onto lips around her , apples of his cheeks burdened with a dull ache that he doesn't want to ever go away . " how cool , how talented , how beautiful . i don't think there was a single thing i didn't brag about . " he's pressing a chaste kiss to her lips before leaning his chin against her shoulder , nose brushing against her pulse point . " just a little longer , yeah ? this is recharging me enough to maybe get through the rest of the day . maybe . "

"i think a little pettiness is allowed when he decided he'd move on with somebody else, before we'd broken up." she could acknowledge it was probably a bad idea, but she wanted to prove she was doing fine on her own - even if she wasn't as fine as she'd like to be. "see? that's why you're my good friend, you'll join in on the bad idea anyway. i'll even throw in your drinks for the entire night, and promise not to blame you if it blows up in my face."

" i think you should break his fucking windows . it's the least he deserves but this can suffice for now . " offense is quick to appear across his features , brows raised as he places both hands on her shoulders . " ash , i need you to look in my eyes and know that if you pay for a single one of my drinks , i will walk out . in fact , you're not paying for a single one of your own drinks . it's crazy that you think i would let you do that on a night meant to show your ex that he's a fucking loser . however , you can buy me a burger the next day . that i can accept . "

"can't be any worse than the things i've seen written about myself. i've lost count of how many people i've apparently been in feuds with, despite saying about a grand total of five words to them. and hey... can't exactly be washed-up if they're still talking about you, can you?"

" honestly ? i will take washed up any day of the week . it's miles better than the few times that i've been called the coke princess . which is crazy , btdubs . my nose is way too sensitive for that . but rumored feuds are fun . especially when people start adding on with the compilations of shady moments that are either coincidences or delusions .
