Okay, a slightly serious post. If you didn't know, I am not the official Peach App blog, that was actually @peachapp-blog but they were inactive long enough that they lost the url. I am/was just a regular user so I cannot actually answer if the app is gone forever. I've not found a concrete answer yet.

But there are currently some alternatives made by Peach users.

Neko.maison is fairly new but as a long time Peach user, it feels quite similar to the Peach. Since the site is new and strives to keep out spam, it is presently invite only. But once in, you have 5 invites codes to share with your friends. The dev is also working on an app version.

Egge has been around for a couple years now and it was actually the first place I turned when looking for a Peach alternative I knew. There is an app and no waitlist. It does have a bit of a Peach feel. You can select who your close friends are and whether you'd like your posts public, friends only or private.
